Precious husband in ER. Positive thoughts if you are inclined...

My precious Edward in Er.Had colonoscapy this thursday. Was under anesthesia for 4 hrs . had problems in his colon .he is a very heavy man. Has been ill since than rock hard stomach blood in urine severe kidney pain. Undergoing testing now for perforated colon. Had peritonitis when young was in coma then. Praying for a resolution . We have been married almost 24 years , the love of my life. Very worried....Maryanne

As one that has had 15 of these procedures, I don't really understand any of what you are saying here. That aside, my thoughts are with your husband and yourself. I understand how hard it is to watch your closest loved one going through any serious health issues.

Try to be patient, and most of all optimistic. Take good care of you.

Adding my prayers for a complete and speedy recovery.

(My DH spent 5 days in the the hospital and had to get 5 units of blood after a botched "routine" colonoscopy. He's okay now)

This. Is the second colonscopy in 2 weeks.first one couldn't reach mass. Second one Thursday in hospital for large people still could not reach mass due to compressed colon. He said they were very aggressive. He is very unlike himself not eating and tearful. Very hard watching your heart in pain. Waiting takes forever... Thank you for prayers and thoughts. World is really small when we are hurting.... Will keep you posted soon .thank you for keeping me company..Maryanne

Sweetie did they run into something when they were doing the colonoscopy? If so did they overdo it and then perforate his colon?

The specialist who dfid the 2nd one said scar tissue and compression prevented them from reaching mass. 20% cancer risk looking at mass. Seems they really wanted to reach it .when he came home he was crying in pain. Very unlike a colonscopy. His weight Complicates it diabeties and a heart problem as well. He has protected me ,having Hodgkin's for a while. I stressed himout , he cries a lot doesn't want to be left I think I have stressed him toomuch..this week I had surgery on my mouth. Bone infection in cheek he was so worried...... Maryanne
