Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Hello my friends! Today was a day I just didn't want to do anything much, be in the presence of God, take a nap, and enjoy the gift of God's day. Many blessings in that. Today was Sammy's 12th birthday, he seemed fine today. Still that awful cough but not as bad today. He is such a sweetheart and to think that we had an appointment to put him down in May, when he seemed like he was suffering too much, but I cancelled that appointment, and later at the Vet's was told he isn't ready yet to die. Still has quality of life left, and he does, He loves to go along with us when I baby sit the twins! He loves seeing them! Their black cat, Shady, is tolerating him! He's such a good dog over there too!! Happy Birthday to our Sammy Joseph!!

Never stop praying no matter how hopeless your case may seem. Pray before

you start your day and when you end it. Pray before you begin a task. Lord, I

thank You for all of Your blessings. Together we can do all that I must.

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

There is great joy in living the spiritual life. A faith without joy is
not entirely genuine. If we are not happier as a result of our faith,
there is probably something wrong. Faith in God can bring us a deep
feeling of happiness and security, no matter what happens on the surface
of our life. Each new day is another opportunity to serve God and
improve our relationships with other people. This can bring joy. Life
can be abundant and outreaching. It can be glowing and outgoing, in
ever widening circles.

P R A Y E R   F O R   T H E   D A Y

I pray that my horizons may grow ever wider. I pray that I may keep
reaching out for more service and companionship.

Let It Go

There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you this, when people can walk away from you: let them walk!

I do not want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.

The bible said that, they came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. [1 John 2:19]

People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not joined to you, you can't make them stay. Let them go.

It doesn't mean that they are bad, it just means that their part in the story is over. And you've got to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead. You've got to know when it's dead. You've got to know when it's over.

Let me tell you something; I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye.

It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He'll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it. Stop begging people to stay. Let them go!!

If you are holding on to something that doesn't belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to... LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to past hurts and pains... LET IT GO!!!
If someone can't treat you right, love you back, and see your worth... LET IT GO!!!
If someone has angered you... LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge... LET IT GO!!!
If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction... LET IT GO!!!
If you are holding on to a job that no longer meets your needs or talents... LET IT GO!!!
If you have a bad attitude... LET IT GO!!!
If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better... LET IT GO!!!
If you're stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him... LET IT GO!!!
If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship... LET IT GO!!!
If you keep trying to help someone who won't even try to help themselves... LET IT GO!!!
If you're feeling depressed and stressed .... LET IT GO!!!
If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying "take your hands off of it"... LET IT GO!!!

A Crisp View of God

LORD, even when I have trouble all around me, you will keep me alive.

Psalm 138:7

There is a window in your heart through which you can see God. Once upon a time that window was clear. Your view of God was crisp. You could see God as vividly as you could see a gentle valley or hillside.

Then, suddenly, the window cracked. A pebble broke the window. A pebble of pain.

And suddenly God was not so easy to see. The view that had been so crisp had changed.

You were puzzled. God wouldn't allow something like this to happen, would he?

When you can't see him, trust him . . . Jesus is closer than you've ever dreamed.

BEAUTY TIPS FOR EVERYONE!

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For beautiful eyes, look for
the good in other people.

To lose weight, let go of stress, hatred, anger, contentment and the need to
control others.

To improve your ears, listen to the word of God. Rather than focus on the
thorns of life, smell the roses and count your blessings, giving thanks for
each one of them.

For poise, walk with knowledge and self-esteem.To strengthen your arms, hug
at least 3 people a day. Touch someone with your love.

To strengthen your heart, forgive yourself and others. Don't worry and
hurry so much.

Rather than walk this earth lightly, walk firmly with determination and
leave your mark.

For the ultimate in business, casual or evening attire put on the robe of
Christ; it fits like a glove but allows room for growth. Best of all, it
never goes out of style and is appropriate for any occasion.

Doing these things on a daily basis will certainly make you a more beautiful
person.

Happy Birthday Sammy! Our pets are such joy and happiness. Their love is perfect and complete. My life is wider because God blessed with my Faith and Virginia and before that Cleo and Figaro. Hope Sammy has a blessed day and week ahead. I have learned from my pets to live in the moment. Well,let's just say they are far better at it then I but I keep trying.

Gloriajean, I'm so glad you had a restful Saturday. I loved the Meditation for the Day and Beauty Tips.

We had almost an inch of rain yesterday and slightly less hot temps today. So grateful for that.

May we all have a beautiful Sunday and feel secure "in the everlasting arms."
