Daily Positive Thread for Tuesday

I don't know what happened to the thread I posted last night, but here it is again. I'm off shortly to go to Darla's for the day.

Hello my friends! Hope you all had a great day today filled with lots of blessings. There are blessings among the trials in life. I put Darla and Alyssa on the Parish Prayer Line tonight - Darla so she won't have to be hospitalized, Alyssa for healing for her eye infection. Darla is in much pain, don't know much, but will see her tomorrow morning. I'll be making some spaghetti there. I don't know what all I have to do but I'll find out, pray for me too! Maybe Darla will have to stop breast feeding, it's taking so much out of her and she is so exhausted all the time.
Just a thought. Anyway, I can let you know how tomorrow will bring. I will count on God's blessings for tomorrow too!

Keep your heart clean by constant spring cleaning. Then there will be a place for
beauty and peace. Lord, help me to remove carelessness and disrespect from my
heart and in all things may I celebrate Your love for me.

M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y

"He that has eyes to see, let him see." To the seeing eye, the world is
good. We can pray for a seeing eye, to see the purpose of God in
everything good. We can pray for enough faith to see God's care in
God's dealings with us. We can try to see how God has brought us safely
through our past life so that now we can be of use in the world. With
the eyes of faith we can see God's care and purpose everywhere.

P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y

I pray that I may have a seeing eye. I pray that with the eye of faith,
I may see God's purpose everywhere.

THE JOURNEY OF OUR LIFE

A long time ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he likes, then the Emperor would give him the area of land he has covered.
Sure enough, the horseman quickly jumped onto his horse and rode as fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could. He kept on riding and riding, whipping the horse to go as fast as possible. When he was hungry or tired, he did not stop because he wanted to cover as much area as possible.
Came to a point when he had covered a substantial area and he was exhausted and was dying. Then he asked himself, "Why did I push myself so hard to cover so much land area? Now I am dying and I only need a very small area to bury myself."
The above story is similar with the journey of our Life. We push very hard everyday to make more money, to gain power and recognition. We neglect our health, time with our family and to appreciate the surrounding beauty and the hobbies we love.
One day when we look back, we will realize that we don't really need that much, but then we cannot turn back time for what we have missed.
Life is not about making money, acquiring power or recognition. Life is definitely not about work! Work is only necessary to keep us living so as to enjoy the beauty and pleasures of life. Life is a balance of Work and Play, Family and Personal time. You have to decide how you want to balance your Life. Define your priorities, realize what you are able to compromise but always let some of your decisions be based on your instincts. Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of Life, the whole aim of human existence.
So, take it easy, do what you want to do and appreciate nature. Life is fragile, Life is short. Do not take Life for granted. Live a balanced lifestyle and enjoy Life!
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
PRAYER

NEW VERSION OF FOOTPRINTS

Imagine you and the Lord Jesus are walking down the road together. For
much of the way, the Lord's footprints go along steadily,
consistently, rarely varying the pace. But your footprints are a
disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles,
departures and returns.

For much of the way, it seems to go like this, but gradually your
footprints come more in line with the Lord's, soon paralleling His
consistently. You and Jesus are walking as true friends! This seems
perfect, but then an interesting thing happens: Your footprints, that
once etched the sand next to Jesus', are now walking precisely in His
steps.

Inside His larger footprints are your smaller ones, you and Jesus are
becoming one. This goes on for many miles, but gradually you notice
another change. The footprints inside the large footprints seem to
grow larger.

Eventually they disappear altogether.

There is only one set of footprints: they have become one. This goes
on for a long time, but suddenly the second set of footprints are
back. This time it seems even worse! Zigzags all over the place.
Stops. Starts. Deep gashes in the sand. A veritable mess of prints.

You are amazed and shocked. Your dream ends. Now you pray: "Lord, I
understand the first scene with zigzags and fits. I was a new
Christian; I was just learning. But you walked on through the storm
and helped me learn to walk with you."

"That is correct."

" ... and when the smaller footprints were inside of Yours, I was
actually learning to walk in Your steps; followed you very closely."

"Very good. You have understood everything so far."

"... when the smaller footprints grew and filled in Yours, I suppose
that I was becoming like you in every way."

"Precisely."

"So, Lord, was there a regression or something? The footprints
separated, and this time it was worse than at first."

There is a pause as the Lord answers with a smile in his voice. "You
don't know? That was when we danced."

"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under
Heaven. A time to weep, a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time
to dance." Ecclesiastes 3:1,4

Whisper Jesus

Today I got a burden,
And I felt that I should pray
For God's spirit seemed to tell me,

I don't know what the problem is,

July 18 - Jesus Calling
I am nearer than you think, richly present in all your moments. You are connected to Me by Love-bonds that nothing can sever. Wishing you a day filled with joy helping care for the babies. Darla can not do it alone, twins are alot of work.

I'm sorry to hear that Darla isn't feeling well. She really needs to recover from her delivery, c-sections are major surgery. I hope the babes eye infection is better today. It sounds like Darla is having one heck of a time. Prayers for you all.

Good morning ladies -- gloria, thank you for the wonderful words to get us going today. I've had a stressful morning and needed them. Reading through, I realize I'm going to get through the LITTLE bumps in the road I have right now. They are small and will be slowly navigated just fine.

I realize everyone has bumps in the road and prayers are always the answer, so thank you for the verses, they have helped me.

Continued prayers for your family. The babies will get bigger day after day and their strength will start making things easier. Hoping Darla can start feeling better, even if it is slowly. Help from family is very important now and it will eventually make things turn around for the young new family.

Take care of yourself as well, as they need your strength, too.

Prayers for Darla and Alyssa! Darla does need to find a way to heal. Her body has been through a great deal and this was major. I am so sorry she is going through so much. I pray God holds her in his hands, brings her relief and healing soon. It will be great having you there. Prayers for you both!

Hope everyone is having a nice day. Heat broke here in MA for a few days at least but gives my ac a rest! Love the windows open!
