There are brown moth infestations in some places. Yes it depends on where you are @nana59.

According to an article I found online in the June 17, 2016, Providence Journal, your area may be under attack by winter moth infestation.

From the description in the article, it sounds like they're kind of large.

There has been warnings on local tv stations here in maine,that people have got real bad rashes from getting into the moths.

A couple of years ago we had some of those large moths. I'd never seen them before and told my kids they were hummingbirds. LOL. Hummingbirds are not brown like that.

oh wow your like a neibor were in cranston ri and we have moths every where. we went to gardard park beach today and there to moths every where.i can remember back in 1981 we had tons of those catipillas like all over houses cars and everything. trees didnt have leaves on them at all.and then they finally sprayed to kill them.
