Thank you everyone for sticking with me on Darla's long journey. Last Friday, May 22nd was her last chemo! Praise the Lord she's done with that now.

She has to take an Estrogen tablet now for the next 10 years. I'm hoping to see her gain more energy and less fatique now in the future. Thank you for your prayers and support, I truly appreciate it!

@gloriajean This is such great news to hear! You both have shown a lot of strength and courage throughout all of this. I'm very glad that she's done with chemo and that she's going to be able to balance her estrogen levels with estrogen tablets. She'll get to rest and ease into her life and routines again now that the chemo is done. You two could plan something to celebrate this milestone together too 💗🙂. Hooray for the lovely Darla! You're a wonderful Mommy and daughter duo!

Praise the Lord indeed! Time to celebrate a long journey well traveled by both you and your daughter. My close friend had surgery, chemo and radiation for breast cancer many years ago when we were only in our 30s. She is now in her early 70s and still doing fine. Some years later I had my own experience with breast cancer and by the grace of God, I'm doing fine too.

By the way, the pills that Darla will be taking aren't actually estrogen pills. Those pills block estrogen. That's because estrogen can cause any lingering cancer cells to grow.

Now it's time for both of you to celebrate and for Darla to begin living the rest of her life - cancer free!

I'm glad to hear Darla has made it through the chemo. Here's to a future of continued improvement.

I agree with others that you and she, when she feels up to it, should treat yourselves to some kind of celebration. You both deserve it. Hoping for many future blessings for you both.

Anyway, it's out, and that's okay. Just the wrong place.

You're right, the pills she has to take is not Estrogen, but what you said, Yes, you know more about it than I do for sure. My husband was over there today and that what he said. I hope it does her good. She's had a very long road with this.

First the six weeks of chemo, then surgery and because two tumors were found in her breast that had cancer still in them, she had to go on a lesser chemo for nine months following radiation. Now she's free! She had a lumpectomy.
