DH surprised me with tickets for Monday to see DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2!!! I loved the first one and hope the sequel will be as good. I think it starts today, but figured it will really be crowded over the first weekend. The plus is movie popcorn....

Skipping services tonite and going out for dinner. I'll light my Shabbat candles when we get home and stream services from Park Avenue Synagogue. That's my favorite service.

Happy weekend and May 1. No plans for the weekend other than a trip to the pharmacy and dinner out one night.

Got back from our cruise almost a week ago. New-to-us ship which was quite nice. May is my month for routine doctor and dentist appointments.

Can't remember if I mentioned before but I found a new hairstylist and I love her! She's in a little hole-in-the-wall place that's fairly close to where I live. Best haircut in years and it was $20 less than my previous stylist. It took me a month to get up the nerve to make the call.........my hair hadn't been cut in almost a year. l'm cosmetically and fashion challenged.

Good Day to all! No plans for the weekend and I will keep a low profile. I am not going out to demonstrate.

It's a quiet day for the most part but there is always something to do here.

Glad that at least I'm not driving as gas is a little over $6 a gallon.

@cindyNC A cruise sounds so relaxing. My family all took a cruise together years ago. The food was indredible and so much of it...even a midnight buffet with dancing. I was so tired by then and definitely ready for bed.

I think other than finding a wonderful new doc, a good stylist is top on my list.

@Shanus thanks for this week's thread. Enjoy the movie.

@cindyNC I,too, am cosmetically and fashion challenged. When our son was getting married two years ago, I came on several threads asking for guidance. Everyone was very helpful and not judgmental. Shanus was a big help! I was never into fashion or cosmetics. When I worked, I had to look "good." lol Once I no longer worked, I wore what was clean and fits. lol Rarely wear makeup.

@Puzzle Piece I went for both of us.

Finally getting outside to do yard work. Spring has arrived in CNY. There are so many weeds to spray or pick.

I hope this coming week is not too stressful. Take a moment for yourself to recharge.

Just sharing this. The month has started off with a bang.

Yesterday I had a call from someone a distance away. Didn't take much for them to go on ranting about the state of national affairs, how others have money to afford things, and my indifference to it all. I don't go around policing how much others have or spend. This person went ballistic on me and decided to never call me again and then gave me a piece of their mind. Very rude as it's not my fault that their life didn't work out the way they had wanted it to.

I was informed I have a UTI and an now on antibiotics.

I have more labs to do today. It's still early morning.

Wishing all a better day than mine have been.
