Embarrassing lost order!

Geez! I've been ordering post-surgery items from Amazon to help me after my hip replacement that's happening this Thursday. Today they delivered an empty, unsealed brown envelope. Why in the world would the guy leave an empty envelope on the front step?! I looked in the yard, and no item to be found!

What's worse is what was supposed to be in the envelope, a PORTABLE BIDET! LOL!!! Of all the packages to have a problem, cripes! Forget trying to report it online. They want you to return the item. How can you return a missing item?

I called CS, how embarrassing! She was very professional, but kept putting me on hold. Probably laughing about my situation no doubt.😃

I'm stressed about the surgery as it is, but this helped put a little humor to it all. ...i yi yi.... 🤪

@LdyBugz Oh my. Someone needed it more than you. Glad you have your sense of humor! Best of luck on your surgery. I've never had a hip or knee (yet!). A friend had hip, she said best decision ever! I hope you have some help at home.

@LdyBugz. Not to make light of your situation but the thought of some kid finding it and trying to figure out what it is, gave me a good giggle. Wait til he asks his mom.

Sorry for your sad plight. Did Amazon give you a refund?

@LdyBugz Good luck with your surgery! I can't wait for mine but it will be closer to summer. Are you in a lot of pain now? I will be following your post surgery outcome I am very curious! I am sure it will go great.

@Kachina624. It gave me a good chuckle, too! I mean, of all the packages, right?! LOL! And yes, they gave me a refund, and a replacement order should arrive tomorrow. Let's hope the package isn't empty this time. 😆

@spumoni99. Thank you for the good wishes! Yes, the pain is horrible. It's just bone on bone torture. Can't get comfortable sitting, sleeping, and can only stand for a short while. Better days ahead though, I hope! 🤞🤞

@LdyBugz, you will be fine, no better after your replacement. Had mine replaced about 8 years ago. Easy recovery and no problems since. Good thoughts and good luck.

@LdyBugz I am almost at that point, first thing in the morning is awful! Once I move around a bit its a bit better. I had a shot in the joint on January 5, it has helped a bit.

I'm okay sitting but sleeping not so much and walking and standing are hard. Yes I am sure it will be so much better after the surgery. Just do what they recommend and you will do great! Good luck!

@LdyBugz I am currently going through PT.and Celebrix. Said try one month. Typical try this try that first. Took forever to see the Orthopedic Doctor especially, with holidays. Little relief so far. I expect hip surgery. Arthritis in spine and Siatica nerve also involved. Two months of acute pain so far. Hard to sleep and use a heating pad sitting or laying. Hungry but no appetite. Losing weight is o.k. but not the way to do it.

Glad I ordered the raised toilet seat from Amazon. Big plastic thing. Stocked up on night Depends. I have heard hips last longer than knees, more effective and everyone who had hip surgery says do the exercises.

Out of the hospital in a day but need help the first day or two.Tough for me alone. My laundry is on the first floor as no stairs. No driving for a month. Suppose you got the speal too?

I ordered the waterless bath towelettes and like you am preparing. Q has them also. I have a cane that I now use and a walker to borrow. An over the head robe.

Perhaps the Bidet never got put in the envelope is my guess? I have had that happen once. Please keep us updated. Coming up soon.

Just wanted to add my husband installed a 30 dollar bidet from amazon in all of our toilets, its great!

This happened to me once but mine was a large bottle of Aveno lotion. One side of the envelope was not sealed properly. The seal was so close to the end of the envelope and there is no way for the driver to know what should be inside. It was flat so it could have contained a pair of hose.

Made a call and received another package the followering day.

@Kachina624 hey that thought isn't far from the truth! Back in the day my BFF and I were playing under a bridge, by the creek. We found these foil wrapped "balloons". lol we were blowing them up. Put a few in our cut offs to take home. lol. My Mom found them on dresser ( I was like 11),,asked where we got them. . Told her...she said well...I better throw them out they have been in the creek. lol. What did we know? it was late 50's or 1960, no one told us anything back them. No sex Ed... We still laugh about that today.

@shoekitty Your story was funny. I have a funny one too. In my elementary school ladies room, there was a vending machine mounted on the wall with a picture of a woman with a bandaid on her forehead.

I thought the machine dispensed bandages, so I once put in a nickle and out came a cardboard tube.

When I opened it, there was a pad with long gauze tails on it. It was scrunched up really small, but I pulled on it until it was larger.

I took it back to my desk and kept it in there. One day my best friend cut her knee on the playground. Being the good friend that I was, I tired the bandage on her knee.

We walked home from school together and her mother acted horrified when she saw what we did.

Years later, we figured it out. She till chides me about it and I laugh. After all, she was the one who wore it on her knee.

@Carmie OMG, rotfl. That story is a keeper. I didn't know what they were either. I don't think we had one in our elementary, but I saw them at theaters and Macys. lol. Wondered. I thin friends who had a nickle actually bought them to see what they were.
