Help with Amazon Return

I rarely buy from Amazon so never made a return and I have a question about an item I do need to return. I went through the return process and it said, $ added to your gift card balance. I don't have a gift balance and want my credit card refunded. What am I doing wrong?

@Biftu You should have chosen refund to credit card or original payment method. Call customer service or do a chat on line and they can probably adjust it. Or just order something else and use that credit to pay for it. I can always imagine something to get at Amazon.

Thanks @Sooner I didn't submit it yet so I will go back and see if I can find the credit card refund. I very rarely order from them so I do not want a gift card balance.

Glad you found it and got it done!! Chances are the credit will be on your account by the time you get back from dropping it off at the return center!

I love how easy the returns are with Amazon. I am happy to see the Q do the same thing now. Dropped off yesterday and my returns were already credited to my Q account. And like Amazon, I always know the credit will be used pretty quickly.

Sometimes you have to click on 'more options' to get to the refund options.

Like you @Biftu I rarely buy from AMZ....but they just snookered me on the same thing.

When I saw the error, I called and made them credit back my CC and remove the gift balance.

DD showed me then where it was.

They do NOT make it very clear IMHO....not trasparent at all.

AMZ is already paying out a huge Class Action suit for making it difficult to cancel Prime. I would think they would be more careful making transactions more user friendly.
