An Aldi's is opening up near us soon. Any suggestions/

recommendations on what to look for? Do they have a fish market? TIA!

I know a lot of people who like it there and I agree, some things are a good deal-

But I disliked it. I'll never shop there. It was dirty, disorganized and kinda creepy. My opinion.

Aldis in our area does not have a fish market. I always look for organic spices, fresh veggies, and some dairy like half & half. Prices always better than our other store options here. Meat prices also cant be beat. My picks are pork roasts spiced with Carnita flavoring. Delicious in the Instant pot. Chicken Kabobs ready to throw on the grill. I also stock up on Olive oil and Avocado oil. It's worth a stop every time I'm out and about. Have fun! By the way, this is my first post, hope I did this right.

We've had several Aldi's in my area for several years. I LOVE it! Look for "Specially" brands...black and white packages. They have chocolate and vanilla ice cream which is delicious and not loaded with stabilizers etc. Delish! Meats are great, snacks, dairy...Not so fond of ALL produce but you learn by going which is good and what is not so good. Apples+ Romaine+ Scallions+ Fresh Spinach+ ...Happy shopping!!

Why creepy? Ours is clean, well organized and stocked and not over crowded with stuff. Very polite staff and patrons!!

We love Aldi and use the regular grocery store as the fill-in now.

Don't forget to check out the "Aisle of Shame" there are some good finds there too.

Mine is nice and clean. People around to help. Lots of good buys. Bakery is nice. I always find novelty candies and items at holidays for grandkids. Very competitive in my area. Good gift card bargains around the holidays. Many seasonal specials. I can't get everything I need but most. Several of my friends love the pizza.

Love ours, make sure to bring your quarter for a cart and your own bags/boxes like Costco or BJs. Very clean. In my experience, check the packaged meat expiration dates. Fruit is usually fresh and rotated quickly.

@Neetgal2 Another vote for their pizza in addition to their brioche products.

I just recently visited our new Aldi's. I find the prices on many items well below my regular store. Two examples, frozen vegetables for 99 cents. and 8 ounce tomato sauce for 47 cents. Both are almost half off what my normal store charges. Neither were names I recognized, but the quality was good on both.

I really like their pre-made chicken salad. And my daughter really likes their organic sourdough bread.

It is certainly worth a visit to check Aldi's out.

I have three different Aldi's within 15 minutes drive from my house.

All three are clean and organized. I don't go there often. Their breads/bakedgoods did not go over well. They are dry.

Things that are good are cheese and dairy products. They have really, really nice European chocolates. Veggies and fruit are usually nice...it's hit or miss. All meats are pre packaged. They have take home and bake your own pizza that my grandkids like.

Their canned salmon is good as well as their jarred pasta sauce, spices, bagged snacks such as pretzels and chips.

They usually have surprise items that are once and done items that are great. They are usually frozen items that they must have gotten a great deal on.

I love to browse their center aisle where they have bargains on household items. I got a great bread cloche there that's works just as good as LeCreuset.

Paper goods are sufficient.

I would never depend on them to do my weekly grocery shopping, but I do like to check them out especially before the holidays. They always have great deals on imported holiday foods.

I find a lot of good things at Aldi's but just go occasionally. Dairy is great pricing. I don't seem to care for their bread. The can goods are good, but sometimes limited variety.

I like the produce. I do check the special aisle with housewares and holiday specials.

I have three near us, and all are clean and organized. I loved that they have added some self checkouts. Sometimes I stop for just a few things, and can skip the checkout lines. The staff seems nice.

I like their Zyrtec dupe. Also, their peanut butter chocolate cookies.

My Aldi's is always clean and employees are great. I love their fresh Flatbread pizzas (great size for 1 or 2 people), fresh vegetables, all of their Brioche bread is great IMO, milk, eggs and butter prices are excellent, cheese variety is amazing, canned foods are always tasty, frozen breaded shrimp in the small boxes are a great buy, excellent desserts and chocolates. And of course the "aisle of fun"...you never know what you'll find from one week to the next! You just can't beat the prices!

I have an Aldi's about 5 minutes from my house and two other Aldi's within 15 minutes. I do a lot of shopping there and what I can't get there, then I'll go to the regular grocery store. I save a LOT of $$$ shopping at Aldi's.

I also love their center aisles for great homegood buys! They also have seasonal items at very reasonable prices. All three Aldi's are very clean and well organized. The staff is polite and helpful.
