HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU BECAME A MOM?

I was a mother at 2l and when I was 25 and my husband 26, we had 3 children! That is so different then the way young women do it now! If I had to do it over again I would do it the same way! How old were you?

I don't have children but my niece got married at 21. They waited nearly 8 years to have their first child. During that time they did a lot of traveling, she got her master's degree. They are married 13 years and have a 5 year old and 2-1/2 year old.

I was in my early 30's when I decided I didn't want children. I'll be 50 next week and have never regretted that choice & still don't.

Graduated in June 1972 and started my first full-time job just two weeks later, married in 1974 and had my first child (a son) by 22. Divorced 5 years later; Remarried at 34 and had my second child at 35 (a girl).

I was 28 when my first son was born,31 when my second son was born and 39 when my 3rd son was born!

I was 28. We got the house first!

No way was I going to rent if I could help it, plus that's another mark against you with a loan!

22 with the first and 23 with the second. @ECBG---They didn't take into consideration a wife's contribution to wages. We also got our first home about 10/15 minutes before I got pregnant.-----tedEbear

I had my first st 25 and my second at 27. There really is no such thing as an average for having babies today. My timing was perfect for me, I was a sahm for

10 years but still young enough to build a great career when I did go back to work.

I was 27 with my first and 31 with my second child. My kids are getting married now, one did a week ago at the age of 35. My other child will be married next year and will be 32. If and when they have kids they will be much older parents than my dh and I were. Things have changed.

Way too young - big mistake - if I had waited until I had my head on straight, I would chosen not to get married and have children (and would have started adopting dogs right away!). I really think girls should wait till their 30s to get married - I know I resented my marriage because I never got to do the things I should have done when I was young, like have FUN!

I was 42 when I had my first (and only) child. That was 13 years ago and she is the light of my life. I was focused on career, travel and pets in my 20's and 30's and didn't find Mr. Right until I was almost 40. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

Older mama here. Almost 30 when I married. 34 when DS1 was born and a week shy of 38 for the second. That's more the norm now.

I was 30 when my first was born. It was pretty uncommon at the time to have your first that late.

I was 19 for the first, and had two more when I was 24 and 25. I wish I had my second child closer to the first, but that didn't happen.

I spent my 20s focused on my career and put myself in a good position to be able to stay home and raise my family.

I was 33, two months shy of my 34th birthday. I was ready to be a mom and was blessed with a very good little boy who is now 20 and studying to be a veterinarian
