      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="3"&gt;I could be wrong &amp;nbsp;but I thought my mother used a special type of scissors to trim a loose thread from a seam on the outside of a garment without hurting the fabric. &amp;nbsp;Any ideas?&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My mom sewed a lot, but the only different scissors I remember are pinking shears which I don't think was used in that manner, but to prevent fraying.She made a lot of our school clothes many years ago.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
