Terrific, @ciao_bella -- you are spreading sunshine just by posting this!

We noticed that one of the businesses in our downtown, at the "four corners" was having a mural painted on its brick side wall facing the street. Our town has had another handsome mural on another building. My son's former art teacher in elementary school is really talented, and she and others did it at the business's request.

So the new mural intrigued us, as the artist has been working away for several days. Today I ran out to get groceries, and saw the message she is painting ( although the picture part is yet to be done). The message is "Love One Another".

What a pick-me-up during my frazzled morning!

That is such a kind and generous thought to have. I used to feel if someone was mean that I would wonder if they were unhappy.

But these days, I am not feeling so generous about it just because it seems there is so much of that unabashed meaness or rudeness around.

Still, when someone is kind it means the world!

Only today 8/26..I left the post office and adorable older woman maybe my age..we said good morning..(never saw her before)..She said the day is so beautiful..then she asked if she could give me a hug!..It made her happy by doing that..that was fine.

Being NYC people..first thing DH said when I got in the car was "do you still have your wallet??" Sometimes his mind works pretty good..Can't take the city out of us!
