I've checked Weather Underground and next week looks glorious ! Nights in the 50's and 40's and days in the 70's . This is an August that I can really enjoy ! After our brutal summer it is a sweet respite. I'm in southern NY state.

We've got another good six weeks or more of hot weather to go yet in the Southwest, but I'm sick of summer.

Speaking of Weather Underground, thru their url, I used to have & visit saved links to various posted Home Cams across the country, where I could watch that weather, real time, as it was happening in the neighborhoods of selected friends/family. I can't seem to find this WU function offered thru WU any more. Did it move? or was it totally eliminated? Do you know anything about this former treasured WU "local Cam" function any more? TIA

Yes, finally! At least the last 2 weeks of August will be delightful. Not so the rest of the summer, ugh!

where I am in NorCalifornia, we had our first real heat wave of the summer. But as I have mentioned before, very end of august, sept and beginning of Oct are our heat waves. Usually..who knows anymore. This week it was 100, and cooled down by 10pm to about 62. Usually we have hot maube 88 to 95, and by 7 pm it cools down and nights are in 50's. But last week was hot at 11am to 11pm. I don't. Mind th heat quite as much when the ocean breeze, or coolness comes in early.

Nope--going thru 5 days of heat in the upper 80's-90's here in the PNW. so much weather whining going on around here!!!

Tampa Bay area headed down to 90,91 degrees for first week of September. Very typical for this time of year. Comfortable.

I am so looking forward to next week. Highs in the low to mid 80's and lowered humidity. I will be out in my yard for sure except Wed and maybe Thursday since I have a Gyn appointment mid-day. Wed I have handbells & choir practice so I don't want to get dirty before that. I can wash my yard work clothes on one of those days so I don't run out.

I don't expect it to last though. It'll probably heat back up to miserable again.

Going to be cooler in KY too. Looking forward to it. Will enjoy it while it lasts. It can still get hot here through the month of September.
