I remember how awe struck I was with the group. First saw them on Ed Sullivan and followed them for many years. Did anyone else have this obsession with them?

I wouldn't say I was "obsessed" with them--also liked the Dave Clark 5, Gerry and the Pacemakers, etc.--but they were certainly the best, IMO. Saw A Hard Day's Night as soon as it came out! And "Help."

I have loved the Beatles from day one!! My sister took me to a concert in Detroit for my
13th birthday!! The girls were screaming the whole time. Couldn’t hear when we left. I love James Cordon’s Carpool Karaoke with Paul McCartney. Love Ringo too.

I'm pretty sure I would not have survived junior high school without John, Paul, George and Ringo. Went to Forest Hills and the first Shea Stadium concerts. Later went to Liverpool with my mother (also a fan) and we toured their birth places and I went to, and danced in, the Cavern. I had a Liverpool pen pal who I kept up with for several years. Great times.

Loved the Beatles when they first appeared in the music world and still love them. They are legends without a doubt. However, when the Stones first appeared in the States, I fell in love and saw them many times, the tickets were Five dollars and fifty cents when I went to my first concert!!!! I am a blues and jazz fan and the Beatles and Stones appreciated so much of the music I loved and that is why they won my heart!!!!!!

I think it it was wonderful, Bookplate that you were able to go to Liverpool and have that experience.

I loved them . George was my favorite. My dad took me to see them at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. I was 13.

My dad even had a great time watching the girls screaming and pretending to faint so when they took them on the stage to get help, they came to life and tried to grab John. He was the one at that end of the stage.

Fun times with my dad.

I still love their music.

My first album was the "white" album. I played it over and over, and we still have it. It would be worth money, but when I went to college I wrote my name on it.

I remember slow dancing to "Hey Jude" - always fun if you were dancing with someone you didn't know, and later to "The Long and Winding Road." It was fun if you really liked the boy!

DH and I were lucky enough to see Paul McCartney and Wings on Texas. The Alamodome had just opened, and they were the first event there. Tickets were by lottery. I was at lunch with friends when I found out mine was drawn. I had to contact them right away. Great songs and good memories!

I liked them up until the White Album, then for me they lost their way with their music and their seemingly thinking they were more than a rock band. Ringo to me is the one who after all is said and done was the real "Star" after all.

The Rolling Stones to me are the greatest because they have never lost their way musically, nor have they set themselves up as anything more than rock musicians.

But musician? PRINCE! Just watch the video of his performance at the Tribute to George!!

@SoonerYES! I watch that at least once a month, it is amazing. Jeff Lyn is pretty easy on the eyes in that video also!

I lived in Queens ..A friend and I wanted to get on the bus to Kennedy Airport which was about a15 minute ride...Our parents said "don't you dare"! We got busted when the bus pulled up and the driver was my friend's uncle! He wouldn't let us on the bus..Next bus would have made us late (as if we might have gotten close)..So we went home..ended up getting punished..the uncle had a big mouth!

I never had a obsession with the Beatles. My 2 favorite bands were the Rolling Stones and The Doors. I saw the Stones twice in concert. The first was at Madison Square Garden and the second was at the Coliseum in LA. Both shows were FANTASTIC. I never saw The Doors, but I wished I had.

saw the Beatles in concert Sept 1964, Indianapolis. There are videos of it on YouTube. 10,000 screaming crying fainting teen girls. At least I didnt faint. Still have my I LOVE PAUL pin.

@lgfan Also a major Doors fan. I saw them in Madison, WI sometime in the late 60's. Their music is as hauntingly beautiful now as it was when it was written.

i was more into Bob Dylan and the folk scene starting in 1963. I was a Bob Dylan addict.. I loved Odetta, Buffy Saint Marie, John Baez, Pete Seeger! The lot!!! But, I did love the Beatles. I don't think they ever made a bad song,...ever. I loved all the Beatles..... but liked John and George most...more .my type lol.
