wanted your thoughts on the new lavender check in the Mackenzie Childs line ? I normally only am drawn to the courtly and Sterling as I like neutrals, so easy to decorate with too . I'm noticing lavender in some new on there website and find it so pretty ! Just not sure if the shade will stick out too much and not blend well with neutrals . What are your thoughts?

I was just thinking of You earlier today.

I 💜 the idea of adding Lavender to YOUR collection and MINE ! 😂

I’m more likely to add the lavender than the rosy check, even though I like the rosy check too.

The reason I thought of You today was i wanted to ask you when that TSV for MacKenzie Child’s was going to be.

I couldn’t find it in the Program Guide. 😫

PS Did you buy the NEW pink witch over the moon with your credits yet?? 🩷

@monicakm @No of course I don't mind, I love to hear various opinions! Love how the neutral tan goes beautifully with the soft lavennder !! Now that I see it the shades go together so well ! Soft shades & neutrals are going to be my new thing lol ! I have a lot of tan , naturals neutrals and whites that I'm going to plan next summer to put together.

I thought about the roses check too, I guess though I've always loved lavender something about it in the check too. I'm definitely going to add some lavender check !!! So we're going to add a bit of lavender then ?! Did you see the new large lavender check pumpkin with the fall flowers Here online ? It was just added today with several other pumpkins and fall items ! I'm thinking it's mine Lol 😂

No I did not by the houcus pocus witch,,,,,,still thinking about it though .

I couldn't resist the mocha check pumpkin with the gold garland on MC website. It was enticing with the double points, and 20% off next purchase so I bought it and it arrived an hour ago. Have the Sterling from last season. I haven't opened it yet was busy . Will get to it later when I have some quite time , people in and out !

the TSV is the 21st , all day Thursday ! I'm sure it's going to be a set of pumpkins maybe like last year . Although I'm hoping it will be something else spectacular! I know though that they have to keep in mind new collectors that aren't too familiar with the MC line. Not the seasoned collectors like us LOL 😂

we will have to talk the day of the show !

Hello MC fans. I just have a question about the cherry check. I noticed several paint runs/smears, which I haven't noticed on the checked patterns. Are they supposed to look this way? I didn't notice it on other checks. Just wondering........I currently don't own any. I do like the Christmas tea kettle. I think Deck the Halls?

but I do know the paint on most all the pieces is perfectly imperfect.

I’ll have to look closely at the Cherry in the pics and see if they look any different than the checks I already have.

@RescueLover Look at H490628 or H490629 online. To me it looks like runs. And I saw a mug in a recent show, and it looked the same way. Just thought it was odd. Some other beautiful pieces though. Maybe it's light reflections, not runs.

You’re right they do look like they have runs and smears. Not sure if that’s on purpose or what but they look distressed.

I think Cherry Check has been presented on air so maybe the YouTube videos are available to see a presentations of them. I’ll check on that too.

The only Deck the Halls item I own is the casserole dish and I just ❤️ it. I bought it at The Q for I think $79. It’s got Courtly Checks all around the outside of it.

I still don’t own their tea kettles, but I do like them. When they introduce their New Limited collection this year maybe one will catch my eye and I’ll grab it.

Looking forward to watching all their shows this Fall !! 💜🧡💜🧡

Sooooo I just looked at a video showing the set of 2 Cherry Vertical Striped trees with Jane T and Rebecca.

They show a table display of the trees with the Deck the Halls tea kettle and Cherry Check bowls.

The trees don’t have the streaks, but the CC bowls do.

So maybe YES the CC bowls and plates etc look that way. I’m wondering if it’s because most of the checks have different colors mixed in, but they didn’t want to add colors to the Cherry Check.

For example my Courtly Check, Sterling Check and Mocha all have shades of colors like blues and yellows mixed in. Subtle but still there.

If that makes any sense. 😂

@lynnie61 I agree with you it does look as though there are streaks or running of some sort . I have not seen that in any of my other pieces , but I dont own any cherry check which btw is very cheerful and would be lovely especially at holiday time ! I didn't look at the utube video , but I see @RescueLover has . She has a good eye for MC so if she sees it as well it must be how they have decided to put the color , no color if thst makes sense, unlike say courtly or Sterling which have blue, pinks, yellows as the shades going through . Perfectly imperfect as @RescueLover @stated.

@well finally everyone has left and I'm alone with the kitties and went ahead and opened the pumpkin . It is stunning !! I love it ❤️. I'm wanting to get the striped one to go with now lol 😂

I know next Thursday can't come soon enough ! I think striped pumpkins to go with last years would be perfect ! Wish we could get a sneek peek . It's something mid week to look forward to though right !? 🎃🩶

sad news..... The MC TSV has been changed to home reflections ! I'm so dissapointed 😞. I can't imagine what happened? Good news I guess you can call it , there are 2 shows that day , the 21st, one at 4:00 pm & one @ 10:00pm , neither with Alberti . I know you were looking forward to the TSV same as me. I guess at least there will be 2 shows that's something.

I know I'm so dissapointed. It must be that they couldn't get enough stock although like Valerie they could have done an advanced order , but perhaps not with a TSV. I was set to get the striped lavender pumpkin if it was a choice. I feel what is here online might just be all there will be 😞

I went ahead and ordered , I know we call it lavender , but MC calls it violet, the violet check cascade floral pumpkin yesterday while there was the 5 EP'S . I was hesitant as I wasn't sure about the shades of the florals , plus it isnt usually a style I would usually be attracted to , but something about just called my name . hopefully I will love it !

let's enjoy the shows Thursday regardless as we dont have many 💜. And who knows maybe there will be a one time only or a big deal even !!! That would be great !

I’m glad you grabbed it before it sold out, because I don’t think it will last very long.

That would be great if they did a Big Deal.

I looked up the difference between the color Violet and Lavender. Lavender is a softer shade of purple, but Violet is more vibrant. I like both colors.

But I think MacKenzie Child’s knows the Violet will pair even better with their other collections.
