Hello my friends! Good check-up at the dentist this morning - it rained all day and still raining and it's cold! Had a good time tonight at dinner at the restaurant of my choosing for my birthday party with his brothers and sisters. A German Restaurant and they all loved it!!! The owner is from Austria, and he's 77, the waitress, Clara, 82, the same one a month ago when we went there to check it out for the group. Everyone seemed to like them alot, he's full of humor, had everyone laughing!! Food is excellent!!!

M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y

Without God, no real victory is ever won. All the military victories
of great conquerors have passed into history. The world might be
better off without military conquerors. The real victories are won in
the spiritual realm. "He that conquers himself is greater than he who
conquers a city." The real victories are victories over sin and
temptation, leading to a victorious and abundant life. Therefore, we
can keep a brave and trusting heart. We can face all our difficulties
in the spirit of conquest. We can remember that where God is, there

is the true victory.

P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y

I pray that the forces of evil in my life will flee before God's
presence. I pray that with God I will win the real victory over
myself.

RENEW PRAYER

Lord,We are your people,
the sheep of your flock.
Heal the sheep who are wounded,
Touch the sheep who are in pain,
Clean the sheep who are soiled,
Warm the lambs who are cold.

Help us to know the Father's love
through Jesus the Shepherd
and through His Spirit.
Help us to lift up that love,
and show it all over this land.
Help us to build love on justice
and justice on love.
Help us to believe mightily,
hope joyfully,
love divinely.
Renew us that we may renew
the face of the earth.

God's Road Map

I opened my map that God had left
Realized that I had missed my turn

A LOVE STORY
Author Unknown

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived;
Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all the others, including Love. One
day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all
repaired their boats and left.

Love wanted to persevere until the last possible moment. When the
island was almost sinking, Love decided to ask for help. Richness was passing
by Love in a grand boat. Love said "Richness, can you take me with you?"
Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of silver in my boat.
There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful
vessel.
"Vanity, please help me!" "I can't help you Love. You are all wet and
might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked for help, "Sadness, let me go with
you."
"Oh....Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself."

Happiness passed by Love too, but she was so happy that she did not
even hear when Love called her!

Suddenly there was a voice, "Come Love, I will take you." It was an
elder.
Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that he even forgot to ask the
elder his name. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went his own way.

Love realizing how much he owed the elder, asked Knowledge, another
elder.
"Who helped me?" "It was Time," Knowledge answered. "Time?" asked
Love.
"But why did Time help me?" Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and
answered,
"Because, only Time is capable of understanding how great Love is."

A Lighted Candle Say this to Us :

"You have lighted me and now you gaze into my flame. You enjoy the warmth and brightness that I spread. I'm happy to be useful and to burn for your pleasure. Otherwise, I would just be lying idle in some box on a shelf. I only have a meaning, a fulfillment, while I am burning, although I know very well that the longer I burn, the shorter I become and the nearer I get to the end of my life. And when it is all over, I know that you will say, 'The candle is burnt out.'"

"I know I have a choice of staying in a box and remaining unseen, untouched, and useless. Or I can burn myself out by giving light and warmth - and hasten my own death by doing so. But I find that giving is more beautiful and meaningful."

We humans are like that candle. Either we keep boxed up and remain cold and empty, or we mix with people and share our warmth and love, and then give our lives a meaning.

As the Baroness de Hueck once put it: "A bell is no bell, till you ring it... A song is no song till you sing it.... The love in your heart was not put there to stay: love is not love till you give it away."

April 28 - Jesus Calling

"As you look into the day that stretches out before you, you see many choice-points along the way. The myriad possibilities these choices present can confuse you. Draw your mind back to the threshold of this day, where I stand beside you, lovingly preparing you for what is ahead.

You must make your choices one at a time, since each is contingent upon the decision that precedes it. Instead of trying to create a mental map of your of your path through this day focus on My loving Presence with you. I will equip you as you go, so that you can handle whatever comes your way. Trust Me to supply what you need when you need it."
