Weird Delivery

Today I had the oddest delivery from QVC in 36 years I've been a member. I now only order 1-3 items from Q annually ( if that). Last week I ordered a package of 4 totes that was on sale and was notified that they would arrive today. I live in a small town of 13,000 people and my adult son was across town at a dentist appointment when the receptionist asked him if he was related to me. He Saud he was and she pulled out an unopened Q package with my name ( very unusual long, Polish) and her address. It was my four insulated totes ( what are the odds and it was supposed to be delivered to me today!).

@patbz Extremely odd...but just wanted to reply that I too have one of those long (13 letter) unusual Polish last names full of consonants (wzy...). No one can say it!

Last part of my surname is kiewicz. When my now 44 year old niece was five I challenged her to spell my last name backwards. I rewarded her with $5 when she did it without hesitation!

@patbz Love it...I refused to change it when I got married because it's so unusual and my folks were from "the old country" as they used to say, so I wear that badge proudly!

@patbz - If I read your post correctly, the pertinent question is: how on earth did the receptionist's address get on your package?

And what was on the invoice inside (if there was any)? I'd be very worried about something like that.

That doesn't make any sense at all.

I assume it was a mix up by Q shipping. Yes my name and item and her address! Very weird and an amazing stroke of luck.

Maybe the dental receptionist was manifesting she receive a QVC package sent to her address...

but forgot to have it addressed to her! 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I'd be immediately changing my password and writing to corporate to find out how a mistake like that could happen. No way should a package for one customer be sent to another person's address.

I once received another lady's order, with her packing slip inside, but address to me. My order was nowhere to be seen ...

@SoX, you would be surprised to know how often that happens. The employee attached the wrong label. Maybe the person has yours.

Years ago the person who received the wrong package would forward it to the correct person.

Yes @SoX I’ve had that happen a couple times.

It’s just the packer that was doing both at the same time and put the wrong label on the outside.

I’ve got a ladies swim suit and another’s winter coat.

And I’m sure they got each got my stuff! 🥴

@SoX - That's an explainable human error. Having your name with someone else's address is not.

(And I've had the issue of receiving someone else's order from Kohl's once. My address label on the outside, someone else's order in the box.)

The package went to your son's dentist's office? Coincidentally he I had an appointment that day? I'm assuming you have a very unusual surnane and that's why the receptionist asked your son about you. Did you check the label. It's possible the post office or ups made the error due to the name.

I had someone go into my QVC account and change my address to theirs.

I found out by getting an email that they received my order (that I did not place).

I called immediately and they removed the order and credited my account.

I had to change my password.

Strange and fraudulent things happen and you have to watch your accounts in all stores.

The email was from QVC…. It was the email they send out when an order is placed. When I got the email I knew I didn’t order anything and immediately looked at my orders and called customer service.
