TYPICAL FOR A MONDAY,NOT TUES

My day is starting out like this:Tow truck is on their way I woke up to a FLAT TIRE!So,there goes work for both jobs
Not to mention towing charges and tire repair.All of this gives me a tension headache 😫

I got one of these air compressor/jump starters a couple years ago at Sams Club. Life saver and it's super easy to use. Just keep it charged and it'll always be ready to use when you need it. Takes minutes to fill a tire or jump start a mower or a car. Even if you have to get your tire repaired you could probably drive it to a shop to fix the flat and it's portable so you can take it with you if you need to add more air. If it's totally flat this probably wouldn't help.

Most insurance will pay for the towing. Also most tire places will give you free flat repair as long as it can be repaired.

My car has 251 miles on it. And the sensor for low tire pressure lit up on my dashboard. So I had to fill two of my tires with more air.

I was told that tire pressure will decrease when the weather changes to colder temperatures.

I had bought a machine to inflate my tires and used it frequently in the past. EXCEPT it used the cigarette lighter to run the machine. My new car does not have a cigarette lighter. Time to buy another machine. I used it too often not to have one.

@drizzellla, I know most new cars no longer have the cigarette lighter outlet in the traditional location. Some do have one of those auxiliary power outlets tucked somewhere in the vehicle. Often in the side console between the front seats. Some have one in the trunk area so things like compressor or vacuums can plug in.

I had trouble with a tire with low pressure about 6 weeks ago.My neighbor put air in it and it was okay-until it wasn't. Last week the same issue. It had a nail in it, so I took it to the local Mavis Tire aand they patched it. So far so good. I only put a couple thousand miles on a year, so hopefully it will be okay for a good while.

Thanks for the suggestion, I got 4 owners manuals with the car. And as you can tell I have only briefly read them. Well, once to find out what the tire pressure should be and once to figure out how to change the time on the clock.

I looked there. There are two buttons to release the parking brake and a button to pause the engine if idling for a long time. And of course cup holders but I will check again. Thanks

PS NEVER looked in the trunk! Thanks for the idea.

PSS Looked in the trunk and there is a vinyl liner that seems to be one piece covering the trunk. I looked on the sides and the liner seems to up the sides too. The only break is to attach the liner to the sides of the trunk

Do you have a spare tire? If so, they can change the tire and you can buy a new tire later. My car insurance would cover that service.

@Luvsmyfam I'm 76 and joined AAA when I was in my early 20's as did my husband. Think about it, your tow would be covered.
