Hey, all you HEPcats and HEPdogs! We had discussed making the Healthy Eating thread a monthly jam session, so I just went ahead and did a little improvisation.

This is an invite to our crazy crib where you can come and break it down! I say we go 18 karat on this and really swing. If healthy eating’s not your bag, no problem. But if it is, I dig.

Although we often have a sudden cold front come in about the middle to late part of the month that drastically cools everything off for the season. This year I'm not so sure.

In the meantime, this humidity is doing a number on me.😞

It was 93 here yesterday. Should be a few degrees cooler today but will be 90 again by Thursday.

It tends to be crisp by Balloon Fiesta but it looks like it won't be this year.

Smoke in the sky is from the Arizona fires.

Blustery yesterday afternoon with a few drops of rain, but no thunderstorm. Needed that storm.

I hope we can both ditch summer weather soon.

Free Speech Week is the third full week of October (10/21-10/27 this year).

Its purpose is to raise public awareness of the importance of freedom of speech and of a free press in our democracy – and to celebrate that freedom. This non-partisan, non-ideological event is intended to be a unifying celebration.

National Taco Day has officially moved to the first Tuesday in October! Starting on October 1, 2024, this delicious food holiday will now fall on a Tuesday --Taco Tuesday to be exact.

Well, that only makes sense.

Gee, I'll have to tell BH this morning. He made fajita tacos (chicken and roasted vegetables) last night for tonight's dinner. I had leftover pesto shrimp and pasta last night, instead.
