I can't get over all the different colors my coworker's chickens produce. All would be perfect interior house paints.

I always thought the different types of chickens were cool. I was mildly interested in trying some exotics when we had our chickens, but I never got around to it. Ours were just garden variety that laid brown eggs.

My biggest 'experiment' in the poultry arena was trying to hatch a turkey egg that we had been given. It did hatch and we put the little guy in with our other baby chickens. One morning I found the little turkey dead in the corner of the box and all the little chicks huddled in the far corner. They had ganged up on him and killed the poor little guy (or gal).

After that I had no more interest in "experimenting" with livestock.☹️

I have always fantasized about having chickens. Now that I am hearing the truth about them from my coworker, I'll just stick with the Costco rotisserie version.

Even if they're going to start putting them in bags.

Hello all.
We are in for severe storms this afternoon, so says the local forecaster, and he's pretty accurate, most of the time. So Luther and I got out early for our daily trip to the park. Then I went to the grocery store, since I needed to pick up a prescription anyway.
So, it will be interesting to find out how he does during a storm, Snickers was very scared of storms, so we shall see how he does.

hey all

found out dh will need surgery. a very large bladder stone was found on the ct scan. we wait for the surg scheduler to call to set things up.

i came down with a bladder infection today. have a feeling it is from the new meds (one of the first side effects if bladder-urinary tract infect). am on cefloxin (not correct spelling but close enough).

rain 1&1/4 inch today. storm 2 tomorrow. later guys

I'm sorry that your DH has to have surgery @viva923 and that you have come down with another UTI/bladder infection.

Hello all. I have been having health issues,but getting better. The laser treatments to my eyes did not work. Now I see another doctor.He is a cornea specialist and may want to scrape my corneas to take care of the scaring on them and that sounds awful to me.

It has been cold one day and other days a little warm. It is raining now and will rain the next few days.with possible snow on Wednesday and Thursday.

Good morning, another rainy day here, this type of day doesn't exactly rev up my energy level, lol, so it's probably going to be a lazy day for me.
I was curious how Luther would react to the thunder last night, happy to say he came through with flying colors. He noticed, but it didn't seem to bother him.
Poor little Snickers was terrified of loud noises (thunder, fireworks, etc), so this was a relief for me.

@Snicks1 My dog is terrified of those booms. And she's afraid of the loud noise of a rain downpour. If it thunderstorms during the night, we're both up Lol.

Sunday morning, I removed my 3 dead-looking hydrangeas & planted them back in their pots. I scooped up & trashed the black bark mulch I had by them. Then, I planted the 3 new hydrangea plants that arrived with Miracle Gro soil again.

Today, the old hydrangeas have new bright green leaves budding. Still don't know if it was the bark or the cold rain. I have them sitting next to the porch. If they continue to get better, I'll replant them in another part of the yard.

There isn't a day that goes by where I don't say your name in prayer. It's usually a package deal 'hellie joe and her husband'. I was eating my lunch/dinner when I read about the cornea scraping. As I was chewing all I could manage was Father God. @hellie jo I hope you are unconscious or high as a kite and numbed up when they do it and I hope that it works for you.
