RECAP DATE NIGHT

Well Q friends,date night ended early.Half way thru my salad,I got terribly queasy. The flu has been going around at both jobs so I'm thinking I might have a touch of it.I felt really bad,because he wanted to go to his sisters retirement party and introduce me to friends and family. I am home now and in my jammies.He seemed to understand a d said he would call tomorrow to see how I'm doing.......SWEET. So that's how it went.Have a nice weekend Q friends

Thats really sweet that he wanted to introduce you to friends and family. I hope you aren't getting sick. I had some dizzy episodes, got some blood work back and I am very low on iron so that was probably why in my case anyway.

You could have also been a bit dehydrated. Get some rest and drink some liquids.

FWIW, I'd be queasy too if on Date #2 dude wanted me to meet his family. 😳

While it's a good sign, personally I want to be on solid footing and I could see a future with him before I got in that deep.

Sorry that happened but it sounds like he understood and is a nice guy. Feel better

When he calls make sure to ask him how the party was and how sorry you were to have to miss it..

I agree @turtle52 . Hopefully he isn't thinking that her getting sick was a way to get out of a date with him. Calling him rather than waiting for his call would let him know that she still wants to date him.

P.S. I agree with the previous poster that said on a 2nd date, meeting family and friends is too soon. Give it a while to see if the relationship lasts.

Aww, @Luvsmyfam I'm sorry you had to cut your date short last night.

In the spirit of showing him you weren't faking it (haha) I would call/text him apologizing and as a gesture of showing your interest invite him for dinner. (I think you have mentioned you enjoy cooking.)

Guys can be insecure and this could show him you would like to continue seeing him.

I don't think going to his sister's retirement party was meant for anything other than going to a party. I don't think going to this party would have been "too soon". It's just a party.

@Luvsmyfam - I do hope you're feeling better and not getting sick. I agree with the others that you should call him and see if you can get together again to make up for last night. You don't want him to think you're not interested.

This is very good advice. He may be feeling vunerable and not sure if you enjoy him or not. I know this would make me feel better.

I know that in this day and age as they say women ask men out also but I always have felt bad for men having to be the ones asking the women out. That would be stressful!
