@Coquille you've been quiet so I thought I would create a place where we can catch up. Thinking of you and hoping you stop in whenever you have a chance. This thread is to continue our chats with friends whether we are still watching the show we shared [at one time] or not.

The only stipulation I ask is: No specifics regarding GH.Those will be discussed in the TV and Movies forum.

Edited because I changed my mind.

We can talk about what we're personally doing regarding the show. I'm still watching. Mainly IRT.

If you or no one else replies to this thread it will be relegated to the dump pile. That's okay too. 😊

@Tique I checked in a few times and just checked again. I must say, " I TOLD YOU SO"! Do I have to say more? Missing the core that made it great. I watch IRT, EVERY SO OFTEN. same old, same old.

As far as the new thread I thought I handled it quite diplomatically. She likes to intimidate people. Wrong one here.

@Tique He's doin very well. Going to be 15. Wow, where did the time go. He still texts me, hugs me, tells me he loves me but when I ask him, how's school or anything else, the pat answer is "Fine". I do push a little harder and I get a little bit better answer. He answers everyone that way. He's 15, what does one expect! He's obsessed with playing baseball and still plays hockey. He's still a sweet, kind, loving person, like his mom but he's at that age, that behavior changes quickly. So, we'll see.

BTW, I saw the response to your post from another poster and I was surprised. You DID handle it perfectly and that poster, was nice. Do surprises never cease 😉

Random comment here. Threads are disappearing left and right. It's reminding me of my last GH thread when someone I didn't know kept posting to a regular about her comments regarding Trina and Spencer. The Mods kept deleting the posts but thankfully not until after I had read them.

@Coquille. Hello!!! Hope all is well. Remember, we don't get to choose family; some just show up and linger on. You know what I mean. So happy to hear from you.

@Wsmom. Prayers are coming yuh our way for you and yours.

We're doing ok, or, as ok as two golden oldies can do. Thanks for asking. DH is not able to get around easily. He's on his 3rd Walker now (1st is too small, 2nd didn't glide easily). # 3 has 4 wheels, hand brakes (not great for arthritic hands), and a seat. He hasn't used #3 outside yet, so we shall see. I'm doing ok; adapting to my appliance and trying to accept my limitations. My hair is finally growing back, so that's a good thing. We only seem to go out for medical appts. Our church streams Mass online each Sunday and we really appreciate that.

So nice to visit with friends here. You are in my thoughts so often. Stay well.

@grandma r happy to hear from you. I am doing fine. It's surprising how much time I have reclaimed. Not a complaint. It was my choice to handle things the way I did. When it stopped being positive and fun, again it was my choice to stop. Thank you for always reading the first post of the month. Yes @Coquille I know it was LONG but if I had to name my favorite thing during that five years it was writing that post to launch each month.

To paraphrase something my Mother used to say: It's one thing to make a decision about something and it's another thing once you put that decision in motion and have to live with the consequences. It might not make you as happy as you thought it would. So far I'm good.

@grandma r when I was reading your post the statement about accepting your limitations leaped off the page. As hard as it is to watch our appearances change, for those who are used to being active and self-reliant not being able to do what we may have done [even five or six months earlier] is even worse. It's also a reason to fight to keep our minds sharp. Think that's why I enjoy writing so much.
