Shabbat Shalom and welcome to this Friday thread and "Hello March"!!!

Please share your weekend plans, thoughts or just join us for friendship and support.

Well, peace seems like a "maybe" and safety on college campus is no longer a given. If you have children or grandchildren in college, please advise them to walk in pairs, stay in small groups and be aware of their surroundings. Our news report here warns against women wearing ear buds since when out and about, they cannot hear anyone approaching.

Enjoy your weekend plans and spring weather. We kind of haven't gotten there yet. High of 52 with rain today. March?

Rain is arriving tonight and will continue most of tomorrow. Sunday looks better but looks like a cloudy weekend. I feel so much better when the sun is out. Sun makes me happy.

We will do a few things around the house. I am contemplating starting to clean my closet out and getting my donations ready for Spring.

I like to start that when the weather is a little warmer so not sure I will get to that.

Good morning all. A few days ago we had a 60 degree temp drop from one day to the next. This is the Chicagoland area... it was 76 during the day and 16 the next morning with a minus 2 real feel. CRAZY. Again ... it's been chilly but will hit 70 on Sunday.

Stay safe, happy and do what you enjoy. I know sprinkled in between are the things we need to do that may not thrill us... but approach it all with an upbeat attitude, and then get to the things you love.

Hard to believe we're already in March, February went by so fast for me.

A very bright spot this week was the Awesome donation by Ruth Gottesman

to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. This act of Mitzvah

is a bright light in the darkness !! 😊. Malibu

Hi everyone, I'm late to the party today! Had a very busy morning........early chiropractor appointment, then on to the butcher shop, (cooler in tow) then went to breakfast with DH, followed by a trip to a wood furniture store and ordered a new bookcase!

@Shanus Very good advice regarding the ear buds. A dear friend of mine's daughter was attacked a couple years ago while wearing those and I won't go into the sad details but she is traumatized for life and was literally hit from behind and knocked out. So I got on my own adult kids about wearing those, especially now in these dangerous times.

We will keep our prayers going, you all are an inspiration to me and I wish you peace and happiness always. Enjoy your weekend, we have rain coming in the northeast but it's going to be nicer next week, in the 50's.

@DREAMON I was just thinking the same thing. I do my winter to spring/summer clothes exchange in April but for some reason I am ready to start. Maybe tired of looking at winter clothes and ready for colorful.

I have been purging and maybe that is why I want to get out spring stuff to see what can go this year as I really need to pare down and it is time for spring to go to consignment. Last night I went thru a couple drawers and took out 6 items to start the clearing out process.

And today when getting dressed to go out, I wanted to wear spring clothes but alas it is too early

So far I have a Winter Coat that i never wear because it is uncomfortable and a few pairs of shoes that are also uncomfortable in my donation pile.

I have a long way to go. I am determined to donate anything I haven't worn this past year.

Hi everyone---

My schedule has been kittywumpus. mr henny has not been 100%.

He was given cypro an antibiotic after knee surgery.

It caused severe tendonitis and a rupture of the skin above all up the back of his leg. He has been having wound care and needing to stay off leg.

The knee itself healed well but now because he needs to keep tendon pretty much immobile his knee is getting stiff.

I have been busy trying to keep the cave in good order.

I miss everyone.

I do check in on occasion when I have to do business on comp, but should make more of an effort to say hi.

Hope you enjoyed a great weekend.

The weather here earlier in the week was in the mid 60s. Thursday, a cold front came through, and we got 8 inches of snow. By Friday afternoon, it was all melted, except on the really shady grassy areas. The weather in central NY is a bit unsettled. lol lol

@Shanus thank you for this friendly thread. Great advice for everyone about the ear buds.

Don't forget to take a moment for yourself this weekend. Recharge yourself for the week ahead.
