How Are You Celebrating Valentine's Day?

Not doing anything this year. Bought a chicken to roast, but DH is going out to dinner with his buddies.

I told him to stop buying me flowers or gifts years ago. We have each other, that's the best gift of all.

How about you?

Nothing out of the ordinary. Really don't need a v-day to celebrate our love. We are grateful that we found each other every day.

We don't really celebrate it anymore. No biggie, got my sweet peck on the cheek this morning so it's all good. We're just having meatball sandwiches and roasted peppers for dinner! LOL Enjoy the day everyone!

Just making a nice dinner at home. I have received the obligatory heart shaped box of chocolate and my Hallmark card....lol

Not one to enjoy eating out on holidays. Don't relish the idea of the next party clamoring for our table. Actually with today's prices, we don't eat out much and don't regret it, either. 💘

I'll be celebrating with my parents and Ruby. We're having some ribeye steaks with baked potatoes, and broccoli for dinner. My dad has bought me and my mom boxes of chocolates since I was a little girl.

Our family has had this tradition since our children were small to make a steak dinner with something chocolate for dessert. Oldest DD does not live at home any more but youngest DD does so she will join DH and I for dinner tonight. DH will grill steaks (even though it is cold and windy) and we will have roasted potatoes and brussel sprouts with the steak. For dessert we are having brownies.

Thay sounds just lovely. I think you've changed my mind on having broccoli with our steaks to brussel sprouts. I could almost eat my weight in them lol.

For me, Valentine's Day is not a day that's really all that different from any other day. When my husband was alive, we did go out for a nice dinner and that made it a special day

Now, I enjoy my grown children on any day, including Valentine's Day. My daughter, however, did buy a bag of dark Godiva masterpiece chocolates on sale yesterday at Costco for all of us to share, so happy Valentine's Day!

I am flying to New York City to work. I am flying up alone but my DH will join me in a few days. With all the bad things going on in NYC, I am a bit concerned. But I will keep my wits about me and not go out alone. I will just be glad when I am back home next week.

Today is Ash Wednesday, so it's a going to church day. It is also a day of fasting, so no special dinners.

Actually, we never celebrate Valentines Day. It's just another day at our house.

We exchanged gifts that are meaningful to us earlier.

I think it will be a favorite meal for dinner (Italian).

Working. It's an intense work day for me (I'm doing this during a boring virtual presentation....ha!). I am, however, expecting a UPS delivery of some amazing roller skates that I ordered for myself!....so, I guess that's my Valentines Day gift!

I went to my Trader Joe's for my weekly grocery shopping. I get there before 8 to get a good parking space. They open at 8....not a second before. This morning, the parking lot was already getting crowded and a lot of people standing outside waiting. When they opened, you almost could not get in the door, since most of the customers had come to buy their Valentine flowers and their flowers are located right as you walk in the door.. (my Trader Joe's always had the most gorgeous flowers). it was so busy, I was wondering if their flowers would last until even noon!!!!

Alas, noone has given me flowers! But Happy Valenine's Day to all anyway!!!!!!!!
