QVC does NOT need another person selling live plants. I like Carolyn, but this is ridiculous and it's really NOT fair to the other vendors who have been selling flowres/plants on QVC garden shows for years! There is NO need for this.

I thought she would be selling garden accents

She will be selling those also.

Carolyn's first show was originally scheduled for March, but QVC moved it up to today. The other products aren't ready for shipment yet so they started with live plants that will be shipped at the appropriate time for each zone.

@goldensrbest She's entitled to her opinion, whatever you think of it. I personally have never been a Carolyn fan. Have no interest in what she's selling.

I just find the prices on most plants to be way too expensive. I can get them from a local nursery much cheaper for the most part.

Carolyn is an avid gardener, and presented live plants with several vendors for YEARS and deserves to do so!👍 She is quite knowledgeable. I own an Oriental Totem Pole that she presented with Robertas many sunsets ago, so she is the PERFECT person for the job.❤ Her brand will be selling an array of garden related products plants and home goods, and I look forward to seeing how she blossoms here!😊

Carolyn is a very knowledgeable Gardner. I can't help but compare the info she gives to what Sandra Bennett says. They aren't even in the same ballpark.

I will not, however, be buying anything from Roberta's.

I agree and you can see what you are actually getting and most let you return for a year if they don't survive.

We’ve purchased flowers from Roberta’s and they do very well. They don’t magically grow if you don’t follow the planting instructions provided. Water helps too. 😂

I can't help but wonder why people buy plants from QVC. I would think we would want to support our local nurseries. It is good for our communities and small businesses. Nothing against Carolyn, she needs to make a living. It is just my opinion.

I think there always room for more garden and outdoor decor vendors. So many complain that the Q offers the same ole year after year. Well now they’re trying to break that mold aren’t they! I’m thrilled to see what Carolyn and others have to offer!! Way to go QVC!!

How is it not fair to other vendors? These plants are from the same vendors, just with Girl Next Store slapped on so she gets her cut.

And not everyone has local nurseries to support. Not everyone enjoys purchasing bug infested big box store plants. That's why some will buy from QVC.

Exactly! Yesterday they were selling 4 tomato plants of common variety for $33! That's just crazy!

While I agree..and though I've purchased from QVC, Cottage Farms, and had success, in the past..my needs have changed. I now buy, exclusively, from a few of my local nurseries which I love. They give classes also at one of them, an organic nursery...the owner is passionate about what she does, has been in business for 40 years, and is such a great teacher.

Back in the day, I'd buy things from Q, and share the 4 or 5 plants with my mom, where I planted them for her (she was not a gardener)..I got some day lillies & irises, and they did well. Little rose plants did well too...a few better than others. We only just lost one that grew to be huge last year due to a disease that was getting a lot of our local roses.

Anyway all to say, while I too like to support my local nurseries, I think it's a nice option, for those that maybe don't get around so well anymore, to be able to buy online and on QVC and see the presentations. Though I've been buying only locally lately, if I see something interesting on Q, I'm not opposed to buying there.

As usual, to each their own, watch or don't watch ~ but I find Carolyn to be a great asset to this category. I watched one show only this morning, learned some things...found her articulate and knowlegeable on the subject. Glad to see her back.
