STORMS AGAIN TOMORROW?

What's up with this weather? Just listening to local forecast and storms again tomorrrow...lots of rain and maybe thunderstorms. We haven't dried out from Tuesday's rains and some in the area just got power back late last night. There are lots of trees down and still damage to be cleared from tornadoes in southern counties.

I don't remember a winter like this. Anything out of the ordinary happening in your neck of the woods?

35 degrees in Jersey, but, like you said, another storm coming Friday into Saturday.

They say a snow storm for Tuesday, let's stay tuned to see if they are right??

Pretty much SOP here in Chicago. Have missed all the snow so far--thank goodness--but sub zero temps and snow are predicted over the weekend. Typical Chicago in January weather!!

We recently moved back home to Ohio where it's 33 right now. Moved from S Carolina where it's 34 and from coastal Florida where it's 45, so everywhere seems to be under a big January freeze.

I went out for an appointment yesterday and it was 50 degrees, this morning it's 36 so it got much colder overnight. Being in the northeast we really dislike the rain we've been getting that actually should be snow. Every storm this winter (except last Sunday) has been heavy rains, intense winds coming up the coast. We too, are again in the path of another rainmaker.........next week possibly another snow storm which is much better for us as the melting is normally slower therefore not adding to overbearing wetness and flooding rivers everywhere.

I am in Wisconsin and we had snow, but tomorrow and Saturday we are supposed to have lots of snow 6-10 inches, very high winds and the snow is supposed to be the heavy, wet snow. Then after all of that we are going to have our temps drop to 9 degrees on Monday!

Hello Winter!!!! I will definitely be working from home tomorrow!

Sunny and 60 today, severe thunderstorms coming in tonight into tomorrow. Then the temps start dropping all weekend.

Snow starting Sunday into Monday with highs below freezing and lows in single digits, with wind chills below zero. Supposed continued frigid temps the rest of next week.

This is similar to what we had a couple of winters ago when Texas had their great energy debacle. I'm mid-south and we just aren't set up for this kind of extended extreme weather.

I'm out today stocking up on supplies and will keep my fingers crossed the power stays on. Even then my heat will struggle.

South Carolina here! We're expecting rain, storms, wind, etc. tomorrow, with daytime temp in the mid-60's. Saturday the daytime temp is supposed to be 49!

My sinuses don't like all this up-and-down temps, changes in air pressure...sure wish it would stay steady (whether warmer or colder) for awhile!

I live in a northern state. We will probably get a lot of snow tomorrow starting at 6:00am and lasting until noon Saturday. In addition to snow, there will be strong wind, causing a possible blizzard. I always worry when weather gets like that here. I have two sons who work second shift. It can get pretty dangerous driving home sometimes. Sometimes they have to worry more about the other drivers who tailgate & drive recklessly around them. The worst of the the storm will be about the time they drive to & come home from work.

Yup, we are going to have the same storm hit here tomorrow night into Saturday. Yet another weekend washout. I don't remember seeing so much rain in the winter before.

Seems we are getting less and less snow here in So. Maine and a more warmer Winter. This past storm with over a foot of snow for us was the first snow we had so far. January is late. Beach Flooding, power outages from the high winds. People are still cleaning up from the damage to homes and we are expecting another storm on Saturday and then a possible Nor' easter on Tuesday. When it rains, it pours! But you take it in stride. Winters in New England are not for sissys.

@Sweet Kitties I hate Reckless drivers especially in inclement weather. What is so important that you have to tailgate with 6 inches of snow and ice on the ground? I used to get so intimidated with those kinds of drivers, now I am just like you can go around me if you want. but I am not zipping along and ending up in a ditch...I think people think because you have an SUV you should be going faster....

We are not expecting rain again this week, which is a good thing. It is supposed to snow next Tuesday 1-3 inches.

One inch of rain equals 10 inches of snow. We had almost six inches of rain already this week in some areas. Thankfully, it was warm and it didn't snow instead.

I live in an area, prone to flooding. Right now we are in a flood watch.

Last winter, we had very little snow. I am okay with that. I am not a fan of snow storms with very deep snow that takes months to melt and hours to dig out from.

I plan to keep my groceries stocked up and hibernate until spring. Winter is so long and my least favorite season.

January and February are our cold months. A few years ago, we even got a snow week here in SC. I spent yesterday gathering fallen branches from Tuesday's storm and I'll finish that up today as soon as I can bear to go outside. Looks like Saturday and Sunday will be more cleanup for the branches that held tight Tuesday and now will just give up the fight. Thankful that we didn't get the tornadoes forecast for Tuesday, surrounding areas got hit pretty bad. We've had the a/c on for Thanksgiving and Christmas in the past, glad we at least had a bit of a chill in the 60s. I just would be happy to see some sunshine, I know it's up there but those meanie clouds just don't want to part.
