Bra? Broken shoulder

Yesterday marks 1 week since my broken shoulder surgery. I cannot get a bra on and not sure when I will be able to.. I am rather big busted 32G...so going braless is not fun. I have been wearing a snug stretchy cami and my clothing is loose but I need more support.

I did see on Amazon bras with a front zipper, which I think a zipper would be easier than traditional clasps...anyone have experience/advice? Thanks

@Mom2Dogs I'm so sorry about your shoulder. I hope it heals quickly and you're not in pain. Years ago, I had a sports bra with a front zipper. As long as you are able to move your hand & forearm to hold the zipper side taut, you should be able to zip it on your own. Try to find one with a nice large zipper.

@cheriere Good point, Maybe I should see if there are any bras that close with velcro.

@Mom2Dogs I was afraid it might be hard for you to do. I didn't even think about a Velcro closure though! That's a great idea! I hope you can find something 🙏

@Mom2Dogs When I had my broken shoulder along with 3 broken hand bones at the same time and was in a complete immobolizer as well as the hand cast, I cauld only wear a strapless stretchy bra of Rhonda Shear's and I am a 40 DD. Not much support but with the immobolizer very tight and not removable for weeks except to loosen at elbow to move it once daily, I did not really need much support as my arm tight against my chest not moveable it did not matter!

Wishing you a speedy recovery and just hang in there.

@Pook Wow, I thought I was immobile, obviously not...I hope you had a full recovery. Today, I can feel a little space between my armpit and my side, progress!!

For the short term, can you wear a bra using only one strap ... on the opposite shoulder? Just let the "loose" strap hang on your side?

@Tinkrbl44 I did think of that..my injury is at the top of my shoulder and to the elbow...I can try, right now the skin is very sensititive...and I cannot lift my arm except from the wrist to the elbow.

This is the first bra that came to mind.

A strapless slip on bra.

I'm so sorry to hear about your injury. I wish you a speedy and full recovery!

I'm just getting over a sprained foot and had such a hard time getting from the bed to the bathroom for a few days.

It made me wonder about how people cope with different injuries. For example, what would I do if I had an injured arm or shoulder like you? It would be miserable enough but one who wears a D cup, I do not feel comfortable without wearing a bra.

After reading some posts here I had to look to see what is available out there.

To bad I can't just give links but here is what I found:

Fresh Comfort inc dot com. Look for their easy open front closure velcro bra # 1009

Springrose dot com adaptive front closure bra.

Amazon also has several front closure velcro bras.

It's good to know that these items exist! Good luck with finding something that works for you!

@haddon9 Thank you so much for the recommendations. So far I am doing ok...my husband has been a big help. Sleep would be nice, last night I was awake most of the night..not a lot of pain just uncomfortable.
