@on the bay They are javelinas. Actually there was a family of about 7, but prudently I decided to let them go by, so only captured the last two sauntering.

@Pezzie I was going to ask you if they were wild boar and weren't they dangerous. Sounds like you gave these javelinas a wide berth, so I'm wondering if they have been known to attack humans. Having trouble pinning down anything definitive online.

Just don't get near their babies (the only cute javelinas if you ask me), cause they'll get aggressive.

I'd be hesitant to get that close to Javalina. They're wild animals, have poor eyesight and may charge at movement. Razor sharp tusks.

@PA Mom-mom . they generally do not attack unless they feel threatened, especially if they have babies with them. However, if you are a dog walker, give them a very wide berth, as they equate dogs with coyotes - their natural enemies.
