I know she has returned to QVC, but she sure isn't getting much on air time. Wonder if that is her choosing or QVCs?

Lisa posted on face book that she is going to take some personal time off to get herself together and back on track. Along with spending some time with Gino. She said she appreciated the warm welcome back she has received.

Lisas husband is in grave condition I heard she didnt plan this in any way but she knows where she belongs My heart goes out to her They have been on this rollercoaster for some time now Until she starts sharing on her facebook all we can do is pray

I thought I saw somewhere on her facebook she was suffering from dizziness and vertigo? I was hoping (in some small way) that was it instead of her husband being ill.

I think hosting for a shopping channel is a hard, stressful job. She went through a lot with her husband she does have her own health challenges. We only see what happens when they are on air and that's probably on 5% of the work. I think Lisa left the job for a reason and she wasn't back long before she remembered why she left. So, now she's just thinking things through, deciding if she wants it or not. I wish her well.

I had heard some time ago that her husband was not well, but I thought by her coming back to QVC that perhaps he was now doing ok. Very sorry to hear that he is not doing so well.

Good point, Chrystaltree. Lisa was always one of my favorites and very happy to see her back but the few times I saw her after her return, she didn't seem comfortable, particularly on a D&Co show she did with Gary, the designer. It almost appeared that their roles were reversed, with him hosting. He did a good job and was very gracious, but it was pretty obvious she was relying on him to carry the show. She also sat for almost the entire show and it seemed that she wasn't quite up to the job. I'm sure with all she's been through with her husband's illness and her own health challenges it has been a struggle to return. Whether she returns to the Q or not, I wish her all the best.

I also saw that D&C presentation, hollysgram, and remember it exactly the same way; it was such a strange show. I wish Lisa and her husband the very best.

I know Gino had esophageal cancer and had read somewhere that he has brain cancer. Probably, he was in remission when she returned to QVC but I think his condition has changed. Probably why she was out of sorts when hosting. I do think she took a leave to be with Gino at this time. None of this is substantiated but I believe she did ask for privacy. They both have strong faith and I think that will help them through this difficult time.

I think she came back too soon. And I don't think it's only Gino. I think Lisa herself is not a healthy person. It's a shame. My opinion only.

Yes, where did you hear that? As some of you might know being in the medical field as I am, grave condition is worse than critical condition, you are barely breathing and have less than hours to live. So to make that statement, I wanted to know where you heard that, because she has asked for so much privacy how is that leaking out?

LilacTree, you are probably right as one affects the other and they are very close, it seems. I don't know them but by what she has said in the past, I believe they have a very loving relationship. I always liked her as a host so I hope she does return at some point.

Lisa is currently suffering from severe bouts of Meniere's Disease. It can make you violently sick in an instant , especially when you have a critical case of it as she and I both do. Any movement can instigate an attack, you feel faint and as if you are falling down, and often DO.

The dizziness and nausea and other effects can be quite difficult to deal with. Bed rest, little movement, slow movements, and diet and Rx medications help. Also there is some Physical Therapy that helps some,but not all.

I know her difficulties and I'm praying for her.

BTW, Gino has recovered very well and is doing very well, praise the Lord !

P.S.

Sometimes these attacks in some people are cyclical, and sometimes not. Some worsened by weather patterns, barometric pressure, etc.

She has to work on getting her "sea legs" back for balance.

I mean no disrespect, but how do you know that Lisa has a "critical" case of Ménière's disease? Critical is a medical term that should not be used in a universal way when speaking of medical conditions. Has she stated an update somewhere? I ask because Lisa's last posting asked everyone for privacy until such time she would post again. Many of the posts in this forum have made extended guesses of what's currently going on with her, and her husband. Lisa posted herself that she recently discovered that she has Ménière's disease, but she never stated "critical." Even if that is true, again, I think we should respect her privacy as she has asked, and let her make her own updates about herself and her husband. It's her situation. We all wish them well.

I think you're right. I think perhaps she's not able to work at this time. QVC host is a hard job with pressure, strange irregular hours and heavens knows what else. After she came back, she fainted or almost fainted during a show and shortly thereafter complained of vertigo. She also has lupus with
which to contend. As much as we love her, it's probably best that she take care of herself until she's 100%.
