JUST SHOP LOCAL!!

Better to spend your money locally in your area especially small business. If not, then the box stores in your area. This has become a real fiasco with tv shopping. I will get my Professor Amos elsewhere and other things from my local North Charleston North Woods Mall and the outlets there plus my surrounding stores in Summerville, Goose Creek, and Monk Corner---South Carolina. Y'all need to try that for your economy in your area!!!!

QVC is located here in my home state of PA, and West Chester is quite close to Philadelphia. There are two QVC outlets within an hour's drive of my house as well. The workers in the outlets used to tell me QVC paid better hourly wages than any other outlet store in the area.

I get it, I am from the so Ungrate northeast Delaware Valley and we had NANA in our county. You need to do your homework or get out of Dodge!! Savor it.

@addtothis There is great shopping available in the Charleston area. My best friend lives in Goose Creek and I visit occastionally. Live 10 hours away now. We don't have that great shopping here and my legs wouldn't like all the walking now a days anyway. It used to be fun to shop there but not able to do all the walking around now. So QVC is great for me and I find way too much that I like and have not had any problems with my ordering. So I am happy here.

I've been preaching shop local for years. No one is listening I'm afraid. So sorry to see the mom & pop stores all extinct now. Big box stores are here t stay I'm afraid. I live rural and just have small vacation towns around me. Are their prices higher? Yes. But it's nice to know the owners and know that what I pay goes to their family and to keep their little wonderful store open. SHOP LOCAL!

I have always preferred to shop local but this is not always possible. I know a lot of people either are not able to shop at real stores because of health issues or just don't enjoy shopping this way, or the stores are just not available. I love shopping at B&M stores but as time goes on, there are less and less of them around. It's not my first choice to shop on line but I often have to, to find what I need and/or want. I whole-heartedly believe in supporting stores in your community if possible, but as I stated it's not always possible.

Shopping local is fine on occasion but I don't want to spend all the time driving someplace and find nothing, or my color choice, size etc is not available only to have to drive around some more in the Arizona summer heat. Most of my furniture is from local stores in Cave Creek. As for clothes, shoes, purses etc I just want convenience. Most of the local stores in and around the Phoenix area (that includes Scottsdale, Glendale etc) that sell clothes sell clothes meant for tourists. Floofy material, seersucker, loud prints, etc. i think it's called resort wear. I don't wear that stuff. From April to October I'm in tees and shorts. The rest of the year it's jeans and tees. Costco, Kohls, LLBean work fine for me.

@FancyPhillyshopper I'm jealous. I'm on the west coast. I visited the outlet stores a couple times. Great deals and a fun place to shop. I wish I had a QVC outlet here. Enjoy.

I am tall, 5'9 and obviously in a popular size M/L, because I never can find those when I spend hours shopping. (I and most people don't have hours to shop)

At least on QVC, I can get the exact measurements of a garment, including the chest measurements or the inseam.

And I take advantage when they sell talls. I also never see an item in a store that has 5 different colors, all in my size.

@addtothis Although I do understand your point, I try to support our entire country. QVC is located in the good ole USA. I personally try to avoid buying anything from out of the country. That's what is important to me.

I feel that the dreaded pandemic really added to what has become the habitual online shopping. That being said, I think I was heading in that direction anyway in recent years.

Especially now, sadly I don't feel safe anymore going out to shop locally. I did it for many years and never thought twice about it but things are different today. Amazon is really convenient for many, including myself. We do try to support our area at times with going out to eat, groceries and things like that but shopping in general is mostly online for me and will undoubtedly stay that way. I feel any $$ spent is supporting some sort of business and helping employees.

The economy in my state is flush with cash. There are so many giveaways its like Christmas. It's me who needs to shop where I can get the best deal, at my convenience.

We are providing all school.kids with breakfast and lunch free every day and all school girls with free feminine hygiene products. Rebates this summer for all taxpayers.

Oil and gas money.

@addtothis I would love to be able to shop locally but it is not feasible. I live in a small rural town in Mississippi and we have one red light, one grocery store and no clothing stores at all. I drive 26 miles one way to get to a Kroger, Wal Mart or a Belk store as they are closest to our area. If you can, good for you!

During Covid I started shopping more and more at Amazon online. I recently started trying to shop locally again and the traffic is horrible...not to mention all the road work going on. I do feel it important to support my community but my driving isn't what it used to be so, I'm thinking, it's probably safer for myself and anyone else on the road if I shop online for the time being.

Bless your heart Kathy!! I live on the edge of Goose Creek in Ladson on 718 Oxford Road. We moved here in Oct of 2018 out of South Jersey.
