Ho hum boring

housework is done,wash is folded and put away.now what?tank full of gas,fridge full of food.my point,I am bored to tears.i have 1 library book ready to read,but not in the mood for that either.just doing a little rant is all

How about a puzzle?

a new recipe to try?

an end of year filing of old papers

cleaning out a drawer?

that sort of thing. You have time, do your most hated job and feel how great that feels.

Or just take a nap.

Or watch a movie you would not normally watch, you know spooky or scary. I find they no longer scare me.

Well, I'm sure others may find something for you to do. If not, come visit me, we can tackle my to do list. LOL

One of your better post for me to read. Much better reading this than some of your past ones. Kinda "little" rant I prefer reading from you.

Well, let's start at the most obvious place .... what are your INTERESTS?

IMO, it's best to explore what you are drawn to, as opposed to just keeping oneself occupied with tasks.

Sounds like it's probably time to cultivate new interests ... and new friendships.

I second @qualitygal...puzzle! If you have an iPad or tablet of any kind, check out the puzzle apps. I have one called Jigsaw and when I have down-time with NOTHING to do, I launch that app and start a new puzzle. You can select the number of pieces; the more pieces the more challenging. If you like doing puzzles, they're fun.

@Tinkrbl44 yes,newfriendships would be awsome.one would think,working in very public places,I would meet all kinds of new faces.i saw a ad for jazzersize classes coming soon to my area.i used to do this,and really enjoyed it. Think I will try again

I think everyone has those times of boredom. I do get restless and tired of the same old routine . However, I love to read, listen to great music and contact one of my good friends to chat, those seem to take away that feeling. Also if I feel bored I get in my car and go to a store I enjoy and browse. Just to be out and about is enough to make me feel better.

It's more common to develop "friendships" with people you have things in common with. In public places, if there are no common interests, they will usually only be "acquaintances".

I always have 2 knitting projects going that I donate to a local church. Crosswords puzzles and research on the internet. I too get bored and/or restless at times but the feeling passes eventually.

Go out to a movie. Go to a mall to window shop and people watch. Take a walk. Call a friend and ask if you can come over. Take a long nap. Go get a manicure. Take a drive.
