I can't remember who posted about this but I read on the Forum in the last few days a poster was looking for a Wool coat in Red. Didnt want faux wool.

I got my Appleseeds catalog today and there is a beautiful Wool Red Coat.

@KathyM23 Good eye but I believe she said she ordered and received that coat but it was the wrong shade of red so she returned it.

@KathyM23 Thank you, that was my post. In the Appleseed's

catalog and online, it looked like the warm red that I had been wanting.

I did order it, even though it was only a wool blend. After waiting for 6 weeks, I received it and was disappointed that it was not the same red as pictured. It was darker and a blue red.

I sent it back.

That's okay, I have plenty of coats. One will show up someday.

I just looked at that Larry Levine coat and I like that style.

But, it is not offered in red. I already have wool coats in camel

and purple. Thanks, anyway.

I recently bought a red,100% wool coat from a thrift store- label is Harve Benard. Had it cleaned. Looks like new and the fit and price cannot be beat. I don't know if I have ever owned a red dress coat before but have always admired a good, classically styled one.

You might want to take a look at Macy's - I just looked online and they have a couple of Anne Klein wool (might be wool-blend) in bright red.

@debfau Thank you, but Macy's was the first website I checked. I buy most of my clothes from Macy's. The 3/4 length

coat would be what I want, except that it is double breasted.

I never liked that style. I just looked at it again and pxxs is the only size left. The other longer coat is not offered in petite.

They had one by Tommy Hilfiger, but that is a stand collar.

I am only 4'11" and don't have a long neck, to wear a stand collar. Many coats are not offered in petite. I have checked every website that I could think of.

Several months ago I mentioned I wanted a red coat. I did finally order this one from Walmart. It only had a little wool, which is fine since it makes me itch. It is very pretty in person and I'm happy with my purchase. And, it is the perfect red!

Just out of curosity, why is red important? Am I missing something?

I always thought camel or tan was great. I'm just curious. (My mother was so in to red that I now, don't own one piece of red.) That's why I'm curious. Red was a great color for her. Not for my complexion though.

I would love a red coat even though I live in central Florida. It gets cold enough occasionally. Red is considered a neutral color as it can be worn with many other colors. Red is my favorite color. I also have to have red shoes, jewelry, and handbag.

It could be that I'm artistic.

I'd love a red coat, but in CA I wouldn't wear it much. The moths would eat it up before it was worn out.
