The Q made me change my nickname. What is going on?

I will call corporate tomorrow and try to get my name back. All I could think of was Bucka after my dear late husband. They made me change my password too. All it is , is my name and birthday. My Q password is the same. What is going on? Can't wait to talk to corporate tomorrow.

It happened to me too, I tried using my regular nick but this time that did not work. I just added a 2 to my nickname. I'm fairly certain "corporate" woiuldn't care.....lol

Same with me right now. I finally got it take my new nick as COUNTRYGAL when my old one was countrygal. That's the only way I could keep it. HTH

My nic was changed when this latest upgrade(?) took place. I don't give a rats behind about the number of posts. I did/do like the way my original nic represented more accurately, who I am.

It happened to me this past week too. Luckily, I put in my same current nickname and it took it. I was going to peeved if I had to change it. 😡

Happened to me too. It took my current name this time, but I lost all my previous posts when they did the upgrades a while back.

For those who want to change back to their old nickame, try these steps:

1 -- Go into "My Account"

2 -- Choose "My Nickname"

3 -- You'll see your current nickname and a box to enter a new one.

4 -- Try entering the old nickname exactly as it was before (be sure not to change anything about it). Or, enter another nickname you'd prefer to have.

5 -- Click "Continue"

6 -- If it accepts the change, then log out.

7 -- Then log back into the Community and the change should take effect.

(A name change won't take effect until you log out and then back in).

Thanks, I tried that. It won't accept the change. It tells me someone else already has that name...Hello, that would be ME. LOL

After two hours I finally got it to take my given name. Everyone here knows my name anyway, so I'm not worried. I do perfer Bobbisue though. People can call me Barb. Most people do. Glad it is no longer bucka.

and everyone, I'd suggest giving them a few days to straighten out this mess, then follow the steps I posted and see if it will accept your previous nickname. I think right now there are too many unresolved technical bugs.

I went to sign in and was told I need a new nick name. I called customer service and she had no idea what a nick name was for...I tried to explain but she had no answer for me so I asked for a supervisor....crickets, music played...I hung up. It's not that big of a deal but good grief! Now this message seems to be working under my old nickname!!

This happened to me yesterday. It wanted my nickname. I didn't remember if I had capital letters but I wrote what my name is now and it was accepted. My old posts transferred over. I think the D was capitalized before.

This is something else that has been happening.

If I used internet explorer the items for sale are listed one by one. If I use chrome, the items are listed side by side as it always was.

@Mom2Dogs, In my experience it's a waste of time to call the regular customer service number about website issues, especially issues regarding the forums. It's just not in their area of expertise. I'm glad your nickname is unchanged.

I had to change my nickname to,from Gracie to gracie3. I like reading the comments on the community. I like looking at the jewelry, but I have not order in 2 years. I want say I won't order again,but the chance are very slim.QVC should offer easy paid everyday and not just on special occasions .That would eliminate the overload on their on line computer system.Stop treating easy pay as a prize, or used only with their credit card.
