WOW - and I thought I had a big new project to go in mid/end of May at my place. We've decided to have all of the wood floors re-done, you know sanding, staining, 3 coats of poly. This is the very last project we need to tackle in this old house.

Moving out everything will be night marish - to have movers come in and empty for us, I can't even imagine although the reality is, I don't think it'll be quite as bad as I'm imagining. We have a third floor attic that's a huge room in itself so I'm taking the small stuff up there, boxing up the trinkets from each room and stashing the boxes up there too. Movers will have just the big stuff to move. DH and I talked all sorts of logistics in getting this done - what to do with the furniture. There are some companies who can do storage, we could rent a POD and put it on our long driveway, we've also talked about moving out our cars and stashing the furniture in the garage. I think this is where we've landed, big 2car so I'm sure this will work.

Since we have a dog we must think about too, and we don't need to vacate while the work is going on (they'll do 2nd floor first, work the staircase, then do 3 rooms main floor) I think we're setting up a bed in the dining room, sleep here and move it ot when the guys are ready to do 1st floor. After 2nd floor is done, move back in there first, and turn over the 1st floor to the guys.

In any event, we're excited to finally get our floors looking beautiful (again). And I'm surprised the job isn't costing us an arm, a leg and our first born!!!!
