Did you sign up for Fresh Market's emails? Again this Friday the "Ultimate" crab cakes were on sale.

I don't know if this is a monthly special.

They have the very best eclairs (well everything) I have ever had.

I know you would love to visit McFarland's Bakery on Main Street Hendersonville.

Mo's pit smoked barbque is on that end too if you and DH want to look around!

No, I haven't had much time. I applied for a job as a teacher assistant and was hired on the spot - started the next day. After 3 months of retirement I realized that I wasn't quite ready for it. So, I've been really busy but I think I made a good decision. I'll be an assistant, no longer a teacher... the stress is all hers and that's just fine with me!

I hope you have a wonderful time. We have a high school, intermediate school, and elementary on Long Schoals Rd. I pass that intersection twice a day! The line to the high school had at least 70 cars in it! Riding buses is much safer than trying to pull out in all of that!

I really miss it! I miss the subject sharing, their excitement when they get it right, and especially the "helping part".

I do talk to a lot of my former students, though. Some of my first have now hit 50 years old!

Half of them are on my FB. It's so much fun to see that some are grandparents!!!

I taught for the county.

When you need heavier clothes, we are first quality, have all 3 shops, and are mostly cotton. I have everything but lingerie. We have loads of teachers and nurses that shop with us. We're to the right of Under Armour.

I'm in the BCS district, but not in your area. Is it Talbot's where you work? I passed there several times when my granddaughter was born at Mission Hospital, but DH was with me and it wasn't a good time to stop.

No Luv, the Outlet Mall where we have top quality but more cotton. We are extremely popular.

Also, Stone Ridge Tavern across the street from the Outlet mall is one of our top restaurants. They but the end of the tenderloin on their black and blue salad. They did the best steak I have ever had out.

Also, a Roberson H S student was hit on Long Schoals Rd yesterday.

I was out the outlet mall last month, but not clothes shopping... and I was at River Ridge CVS yesterday, which might be near the restaurant. I had to get medical clearance for my new job - their Minute Clinic was easy peasy.

I'm glad you were able to get everything done easily. The next group that will be getting physicals will be athletes.

Is your school near that CVS? That area used to be very active and has lost a lot. Dress Barn went bankrupt, there was a giant kitchen store I loved, on the other side of the incoming road was a good fabric store, all left a few years ago with a grocery store and Babies R Us across the 4 lane.

I am not fond of that J & S cafeteria. Once I got dinner there when I worked at the mall (roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, a salad, and a piece of pie and everything had a scorched taste except for the roast beef and the salad. I never went back.

Chedders, which is connected by a street through apartments behind the cafeteria, is in a shopping area on River Road.

Chedders is well liked with the warm crescents drizzled with honey on the salads.

I don't know if you need a winter coat. The coats have just come in at the Dillards outlet. Their men's area is quite nice.

Our average low here is 50 degrees with plenty of 40 degrees and many mornings of 32 degrees.

With snow, county schools take a while to go back to allow mountain roads in curves to melt.

Are you misses or petites? Seems like you once said petite?

We have the largest petite department around, and it's first quality.

Stone Ridge Tavern is across the 4 lane (Brevard Rd.) from the outlet mall.

I had the pecan encrusted salmon tonight and the roasted broccoli with a salad. I was with the young man I got into Duke free for his Divinity degrees.

Right now, because of the virus he's with BCS.

No, that's not where my school is located but it's where the district office suggested I go to get the form filled out quickly.

Thanks for all the info. I'm afraid I don't have a restaurant budget that supports eating out very often, but I'll keep it all in mind.

And what's a "winter coat"? I think I vaguely remember having one in NY, lol. I guess I'll need one eventually.

In winter most people here wear a wool or acrylic coat when they go out, espicially on 32 degree mornings not to mention walking in from parking lots, then you will have a monthly fire drill as well.

At our store we have gotten several winter coats from retail. Women who know our stock are buying them.

If you need a winter coat, you might want to drop by.

As I said, our average winter temp here is 50 degrees with lows as low as 26-32 for several months.
