Whoopi was still defending him on The View this morning. I guess she thinks taking the qualudes (sp?) could have been consensual. I don't understand how she could still defend him.

The information came from a 10 year old deposition that was recently unsealed. So, he hasn't admitted to anything. Maybe this will lead to charges being filed, I certainly hope so. But maybe not. I think we all knew what he did, the deposition doesn't change anything. But the problem (so far) is that either the charges are ancient and too old to prosecute or they don't come from credible sources. My hope is that this will now lead to at least one woman coming foward who has more than just her allegation, a woman who has some proof behind.

He sounds like a drug dealer, a rapist and a liar. He should be investigated fully and brought to justice. I have a hard time not believing the many women that have come forward with the same accusations. Hopefully, there will be a trial this time. He has escaped far too long.

Good comments...I so agree. Our family used to love to watch him on his shows, and it makes me sad to see and hear these charges against him. I also hope that someone credible comes to light, so that these issues can be resolved.

I am happy they were able to unseal those court records to see what was the truth is as evidence!!His lying is catching up to him..good!!

One channel is now "not " going to be showing his reruns but i think it was stated another one is still showing them.

Bill may not face a jury, but he has lost a lot of respect with everyone.

The statute of limitations may prevent any criminal charges from being filed. However, the victims can sue him in civil court, essentially wiping him out financially perhaps over the rest of his life. I saw the clip of Whoopie and Raven-Symone defending him. How ridiculous! They put forward the innocent-until-proven-guilty argument. That is a legal argument. What they are ignoring is the common sense conclusion that we in the court of public opinion have every right to hold. When all these women came forward AND an admission of drugging a woman to have sex came out in that deposition, how could any other conclusion be drawn?

I think people are hearing what they want to hear. He did not by any stretch of the imagination admit that he he assaulted any one of the many women who recently came foward. Not even close. In a ten year old deposition, he stated that he obtained drugs to give to women he wanted to "be" with. That case was settled out of court, there were no charges. So, while in the court of public opinion, it proves his guilt. But, we all knew that anyway. There's nothing new here at all. I'm sure the authorities would like nothing more than to arrest him and put him on trial but they still do NOT have a single credible case. Unsupported accusations that are 10, 20, 30 years old aren't going to lead to any charges. Some, if not all, of the women just want to jump into his bank account. I suppose that deposition might help them in a civil suit. I'm sure that's Gloria Allred's hope. Cosby hasn't admitted to anything yet and he's not about to admit to anything now. He's evil, he's twisted but he's also a very, very smart man. And he's 77 years old; he knows when he stopped this nefarious behavior. I suspect it was many years ago, so he knows that there are no recent victims out there who can present the authorities with strong cases that will hold up in court.

Even if as he stated that the women all willingly took the qualudes and knew there was s # x involved, it still was wrong on many levels and he is a lech! What I don't get is many kept going back to situations where they were alone with him in a hotel room so in many of the cases I think the women willingly went with him and took the pills willingly and knew what he wanted but they were young and naive and thought they could get ahead so he took advantage of them.

You are totally missing the point. Belief isn't even an issue. They don't arrest people just because they "believe" an accusation. Even if there are 47 accusers. The charge has to be credible and there must be a lot more than someone's allegation. Anyone can accuse anyone of anything; but it means nothing without corroboration and proof.
