Back Fence - March 2021

Good Morning and Welcome old friends and new to the Back Fence.

In the spirit of eating healthy, I'm leaving whole wheat cranberry muffins for a snack. This is a recipe approved by the American Heart Association

I'm also leaving whole wheat bluberry muffins (Betty Crocker recipe)

I'm leaving some Smart Balance if you want to 'butter' your muffin. I've been using Smart Balance since... gotta be 2004. I even bake with it. It's good and good for you.

hey all

smart balance spread is excellent ate that all the time before i was told no more by doctors, so everything is plain jane for me.

not much here

did chores,

did morn walk,got it in before the next round of rain moved in. at 2 inch mark for past 48 hour of non stop rain.

not much else. clothes in dryer.

@Love my grandkids I started using smart balance when my husband needed to use it years ago and I just kept with it.

@viva923 you're not allowed any kind of spread on toast or toaster waffles, etc? I've never been heavy handed with butter, margarine or anything like that since I was a kid. That said, I'd choke on dry toast, lol.

@Epicurean So glad to read that you are on schedule for your vaccine. I signed myself and my sister up at the local Meijer's. Neither of us is in the early eligibility however I'm hoping the Johnson and Johnson vaccine being in the pipeline will speed that up. Actually I'm hoping for the J&J.

hey all

birdmama, i have no choice, have to eat super plain, you get use to it after awhile. all i drink is water, no soda,no alcohol of any kind, been like this for several years. homemade oatmeal is my morn meal no matter what with bananas 2 of them, supposedly they are good for high blood pressure.

sheet day 4th load ready to fold

sunny but OH MY IT IS SUPER DUPER CHILLY TODAY, a very brisk cold wind straight out of the north.

Hello all, not much going on with me either. I spent more time than I should have looking at accent chairs online yesterday. I bought this chair from Kohl's in January, all I had to do was put the legs on it.

I like the style and feel of this chair and it's offered in a beige (too light of a color for what I want) and blue-green (too much green for what I want, lol).

I wanted either a coral or denim blue accent chair for the family room. Macy's having a sale and I'm thinking of maybe ordering this one.

Bernie,I think booth chairs are nice!

Had my first COVID vaccine this morning. It was run by Wall Mart and was exceptionally smoothly run. I got my first Pfizer dose. Was in and out in less than 45 mins,it was all senior citizens.got my next appointment also.

I changed my mind on the chair. I think I might get this one from Home Depot instead, lol. As you can see this is my problem.... usually something resonates with me immediately and maybe I'm trying too hard

Bernie,I think the last one is the nicest. I had a similar chair for a long time. Eventually had it recovered,but just last year got rid of it.figured we got our moneys worth out of it.

Ill let you know how I'm doing tomorrow. With fibromyalgia I may not notice a little more pain than normal. My daughter had muscle pain. If it's bad I'm allowed to take a extra muscle relaxer. We'll see

I'm currently watching The Boy with Green Hair (1948) starring Dean Stockwell and Pat O'Brien. It's a fantasy drama filmed in Technicolor and Dean Stockwell is Peter a young war orphan who is subject to ridicule after his hair mysteriously turns green. It's an anti-war theme with a message on how war affects children.

I've always thought Dean Stockwell has a charm about him. This is my first time seeing him in a film when he was a child and my goodness he was such a beautiful kid.

They sure don't make movies like this anymore.

well,I had my vaccination 24 hrs. ago and hardly notice it. The only time it even bothered me was this morning when I was in bed and turned on to my side. I'm very pleased 👍

@viva923 It was a good movie. Dean Stockwell did such a great job (he was only 12 and looked even younger) with deep subject matter.

I ended up ordering the second chair that I talked about (from Home Depot).

The sofa and recliner in the family room are brown and I wanted a pop of color, lol. You can't tell by this picture but I'd swear when I zoomed into the photo on Home Depots site I saw specks of brown in here.

I bought two of this pillow from Target sometime around the holiday (I think).

Right now they are on the sofa. I love this pillow so much that I just ordered 2 in blue.

I'm gonna put the 2 blue ones on the sofa and one of the terra cotta ones on the new chair when it gets here and figure that will pull it all together,

We'll see how it goes.
