crafting on HSN

I always enjoy watching craft day on HSN, but am I the only one who wishes they would have a todays special that was not Cricut or Crafter's Companion? In my opinion, they have oversold these items over the last couple years. I miss the old crafting days with Lisa Bearnson when the emphasis was on scrapbooking. Is it just me? Stay safe everyone.

They used to have vendors doing a variety of crafts. Now all the emphasis is on card making which I'm really not interested in. Nobody I know sends cards much anymore. Do people still do much scrap booking? We no longer hear much about it.

I don't know if it's only me, but I love crafts, all crafts, needlepoint, crewel, painting, diamond dotz, you name it, I've tried it. But I just can't get into scrapbooks or this cricut stuff. I can tell by how many sellouts there are that I am definitely outnumbered, but it would really be nice to see a variety of crafts. They do show coloring books with colored pencils and markers, I'm not so sure that's a craft, but whatever. Please HSN, show some variety!

I'm a card maker, so I'm loving their shows. I don't, however, use any of the newer Cricut machines. I have Gemini cutting machines in 2 sizes and they work very well for my needs. And I'm a HUGE Anna Griffin fan, so I try to watch all her shows. What disappointed me today is the fact that they didn't do the $5.00 shipping deal. That didn't stop me from buying, however.

I'm loving craft day on HSN today!!

I don't do crafts or scrapbooking, but I do make my own cards. Not like the cards shown on HSN though, so I have no need for anything they're selling today.

I paint my own images myself and reproduce them on my own deckled greeting card stock. My mom and sister are the only two people I know who still send cards, and they place their order with me twice a year.

I just love to see craft day anyway.

Suzanne Runyan does a good job on these shows; I feel like she actually does this kind of crafting. And Anna Griffin, the queen of crafting - well, what can I say; these days must be a goldmine for her. I like to craft but not card-manufacturing.

@Kachina624 I used to make scrapbooks for my girls when they were in grade school which my youngest finished about 6 years ago. But lately I have been so bored on the weekends that my DD and I decided to make a scrapbook of our cat! How pathetic are we!

My SIL and her daughter are hard core card makers----I enjoy when HSN does the all day crafty stuff-- used to be into all that altho scrapebooking drove me nuts----just couldn't come up with my own ideas and now my hands and fingers don't work well anymore either--but still fun to watch--yes i do remember those days on the Q---bought a ton of kits too, used a few but just threw most away---found them stashed for years while packing to move-----

I used to scrapbook. I've had 2 Cricut machines. The problem with the Cricut is that when a new one comes out and you have a problem with an older one, they have stopped supporting that making older machines obsolete. I used to make cards too. The last time I made cards I used the Anna Griffin all in one box type thing. It took hours and hours to finish them. Then I mailed them, and one by one most came back for more postage. Between buying the card kit and postage and all those hours making those darn cards...it cost a lot of money. Now, I go to the Dollar Tree and buy a box of 12 for a $1. I figured why make them, they get thrown away anyway. And, I find myself sending less and less cards (and receiving much less too).

Oh, I so agree! I love crafting as well, but could never really get into card making. I like sewing, knitting, painting, etc. I ALWAYS wonder why HSN has such a heavy emphasis on card making. A little variety would be so nice.

@ninjawife. I only hope the cat appreciates your efforts. Ought to be a cute coffee table book.
