It's actually colder than usual here for this time of year (Miami)

I've always told my daughter, whose bday is tomorrow, that she was lucky to be a Floridian cuz we always had sunny, outdoor, parties.

This is the coldest February I can recall in 35 years! I consider Feb the perfect weather month.....

You are so right! One summer, a resident groundhog found his way on to my back patio. When I tried to show him off with a broom, he became pretty aggressive and was not happy.

I was concerned mostly for my cats who were lurking around trying to get a sniff. Once I got them in the house, I let him find his own way off the porch.

There is still a groundhog I see now and again in a field near our house, but I give him a wide berth.

They are cute critters....at a distance!

Not happy about 6 more weeks of winter, but that Phil is certainly a cute groundhog! Wonder if Staten Island Chuck saw his shadow today?

The Polar Vortex is going to be giving us below normal temperatures Up North. I heard a high of -10 degrees on Sunday. This cold is going to stick around awhile. At least the Super Bowl will help pass the time for some. People with wood burning stoves will be warm. We had a great January with many above average days.
