“FAMOUS TALK SHOW HOST”

I think the subject of this famous woman's Christmas List has been mentioned here before. Just because it's on her list, does not, in the least, influence my purchases. It may, in fact turn me off because most likely the the hype has increased the price or the product or it's just not "all that".

Last night, Shawn hawked a cream "on the list" and no sale here.

@Shanus There will always be individuals who don't follow in the footsteps of some other person, celebrity or not.

At the same time, celebrity endorsements apparently work much better than many other kinds of endorsements. I say that because my memory can go all the way back to Dinah Shore urging us to see the world in a Chevrolet and some undoubtedly can go even farther back than Dinah.

Works in the opposite direction, too. Endorsements have made many celebrities in entertainment and sports in particular into multi-millionaires.

I don't buy anything associated with Opie. Don't now, never will, never cared for her. So busy patting herself on the back.

@Love my grandkids It's not so much that I mind HER, but I've seen the process. Others choose the items and she quickly walks down the lines saying "this or that".

Dr. Oz has said he endorses nothing, so anything you see associated with his name is fraudulent.

I also doubt if big name movie stars, advertising drugstore creams, actually use those when they have access and can afford or are gifted top of the line products. That's just my opinion.

That's one thing I like about Oprah is her list.

Barefoot Dreams and Philsophy products were something I use because of the list. A lot of companies owe her a huge thank you for putting them on the map.

One of the hosts said it on ShopHQ this morning "our favorite talk show host" blah blag blah. I don't get it. I didn't know she did that list anymore but back when it was popular I never paid any attention to it.
