Next month...

My dear friend Giorgia Ziandie (known in vast by her name/title Lady C) will visit me and stay here for three days.

I may ask her (if she agrees to post and even say hello to you (would you like that)?

I have known Giorgia (I call her Giorgina) sine I was in my twenties and I was even invited to stay for few days at her castle Goring in Sussex this past summer (thank you very much covid for not letting me).

I have met only one of her sons Dima, perhaps next year if I go to England, I may meet Misha.

I have a friend who attended her cousin's wedding at a venue named Castle Goring in Worthing, Sussex. She brought home a brochure about the "country house" that is rented out for weddings and celebrations. But the name listed on the brochure is Georgia Ziadie. Could this be the same person?

I think ive seen Lady Campbell on documentaries on the British Royal Family and/or Diana Princess of Wales.. More than a few actually. I cannot recall if she is a journalist who has written extensively on the family and/or runs in the circles.

She has a very distinctive voice and accent if I recall correctly which makes her memorable to me.

How fun to have this connection!

Have a fantastic time with her visit. Is so hard these days. Stay safe!

ETA: You need to check with your state to see what the quarantine restrictions are for people coming from England. She may have to stay for a while.

Did your husband get to come home from his long stay in the VA hospital in Texas? I'm sure he'd love to meet her. I don't know anyone famous. How exciting!

@Dinaki It sounds like you and your friend will have a small window of visiting for three days. I hope that you are able to enjoy the time together and do it safely, no doubt. Tell your friend to check in with the forum if time permits, we would love to meet her.

I believe if you travel to US from UK you can't enter without a 14 day self-isolate.

you cannot enter or transit the USA if you have been in the UK, Ireland, Schengen zone, Iran, Brazil, or China within the previous 14 days.
