Do you still color? (as in books)

I haven't done much coloring all summer but have started back lately. Maybe an hour before I go to bed. It's relaxing to me,I try to leave the day to day crises behind. Also rereading my favorite books...A Tale of Two Cities now. Love it.

I re-read favorite books, too. I tried to color again as an adult, but did not stick to it. I loved to color as a kid, though.

Yes, I color in regular coloring books with Crayola crayons. Started doing it when I worked night shift; I only buy Christmas coloring books, as holiday pictures are my favorite.

Yes - I have a stack of Creative Haven coloring books, boxes and boxes of crayons, and coloring pens and pencils. Probably close to 30 books.

It's relaxing - and someplace I can try out color combos for the yarn projects.

With Dover publications - in addition to sellng the coloring books - they send out emails regularly with sample coloring pages - so you can try the pics before you buy the book.

There's a forum thread couple of years ago with pictures!

With Covid and the smoke from all of the fires in our state, we are pretty much shut ins lately. I have started coloring again. It is relaxing. My daughter and I have all the same books and we will pick out one page and both color it. It is amazing how differently two people can visualize the same subjects. Jigsaw puzzles, coloring and reading get me through the day.

I think its relaxing too and have colored a few times during this pandemic. I have 2 adult type coloring books and colored pencils. Do you all use colored pencils or gel pens?

I tried.I really tried the adult coloring books.Supposed to be relaxing! My dummy self would think about putting too much red , oh, I need to use more brown.Oh, but my purple isn't seeing enough action, etc.

When everything shut down in March, I ordered some coloring books, colored pencils, and jigsaw puzzles to keep me occupied. I’ve always loved coloring & jigsaws so I have enjoyed doing both the last several months. Both are relaxing to me. I’ve also been reading, cleaning, and baking a lot more too.

Reading not so much. I used to read for hours. Now I buy books, read a chapter or two and save it for later.

I'm going to give it another try. I bought some books and markers a couple of years ago but I just couldn't get into it.

I really enjoy coloring and now I am starting to do adult paint by number. Just a nice way to do something different. Of course I am an avid reader so a lot of time is spent reading.

Hi, it's good to be back. Apparently, I was a naughty girl and got banned for a while. Yes, I'm going to try coloring again, I think it's great to relieve stress and to fill up time.

A couple of years ago I was going to Italy over the Christmas holidays. My BFF gave me colored pencils and a coloring book as a gift to take with me on the long flight. It really helped pass the time. I don't really color unless I am going on a long flight like that but I enjoy it.

Yes @red&curly same thing happened to me! I never did it before or had any desire to do it, but I had a puzzle book that had a few pages for coloring. I thought hey, this is supposed to be relaxing, I'll try one. It was not relaxing at all for me. Like you I was so concerned about which colors to use next, and my neck and shoulders were even getting sore from leaning over the table lol

Now that I'm here............Are watercolor coloring books and/or watercolor paint-by-numbers available?

I've wondered, from time to time, but haven't searched.

Just curious if anyone here (right now) knows or has run across watercolor options, not crayons or regular paints.

I'll look for myself later on today or tomorrow, so no need for you to.
