This is important. Please check your settings. I just checked someone's avatar so I could get a better look at what it was a picture of and I now know someeone's first and last name.

This person is someone that I post with frequently.

I believe if you go to your Personal Profile and then Personal Information you will see a section when you can list a lot of personal information including your name.

All that is there is my email address, which was already there. Should I try to delete that if I can even figure out how?

I only saw that one page and none of the fields have any information in them unless you put that info there.

I can't seem to find any 'privacy' settings, though. Need to look again.

ETA - NEVER MIND. I'm an idiot. I found the 'privacy' page. I was there yesterday.

I selected "no one" for everything in Privacy.

Mousiegirl, FWIW, I can't see your email addy or any identifying info in your Profile. You must be good!

Bird mama said it was someone with an avatar uploaded.

I see nothing about personal.,preferences and permissions.Can someone tell me where to look?

When I click on your profile I don't see any information about you, so you don't need to worry. To find it, though, you click on your nickname, then My Settings, then Personal Information. They have to have your e-mail info in order for you to post, but we can't see it.

If you look at "personal profile," there should be no personal information there.

Sorry, I just got home from work and got settled. Everyone here will be able to see their own email address. Under Personal Profile - you can add as much info as you want. Under Edit My Preferences, look to the Privacy Tab. That tells you who can see your information that is posted in the Personal Profile.

I'm sorry to scare anyone or be unclear.

I believe the information under "Personal Information" is visible only to the signed-in poster who owns the information.......or at least I asked and that is what QVC told me.

I don't see names when I click on posters' avatars. How did you see this?

Goodstuff, the issue was resolved.

The person in question had an avatar and the pic was too small to see, so I clicked on the avatar to make it bigger and then I saw the information that the person had on their profile.

Under the Edit My Preferences options, there is a privacy tab.

You, as a poster are given options for who can see your personal profile and whether or not you are online.

The person in question had ALL marked in all three areas. She has since marked NONE
