Hey everyone, I can't believe it's December already.

I had a nice Thanksgiving meal with my sister. I didn't do any shopping over the weekend. I did get the tree and house decorations up on Saturday. Yesterday I paid my respects to my Aunt (Ma's sister) who passed away before Thanksgiving.

My sister has today off so we are going to the movies. It's been a long time since I went to the movies. We're going to see a movie called Knives Out. I think it's a murder mystery along the lines of Agatha Christie.

I'll let you know after I see it

Sure is quiet around here. Guess the holiday tired everyone out. We had a good dinner,seemed funny just the 2 of us,but relaxing.

I'm taking a break from shoveling, at my age I take a lot of breaks. 😆 I won't tackle the driveway, but I want to clear a path for the mailman, and a path for me to the garage. I did get half of the end of my driveway done, because it will only get worse with the plow going by. The snow is pretty, but also a PITA . The tree will have to wait for tomorrow, sigh.

No snow at my part of the fence.Cold and windy.

Got the house all decorated inside and out.Presents all bought,just need to wrap.Nice to be able to just relax.

Got a good report today from my oncologist.Don"t have to go back for 6 months.Next week have an appointment with my cardiologist.Going to doctors appointments gets me out of the house lol

Hope everybody has a good week.Left some sugar cookies and hot chocolate for anyone who would like some.

I know what the cookie is really called. I grew up calling them feffer-newtons.

I always ate Stella D'oro brand at the holiday and they changed the recipe (it's not the same to me).

My sister bakes me feffer-newtons so I get my fix that way. The other day I went to her house and she had little gingerbread men. I had one with a cup of coffee - really good,

I'm leaving a few bags of the gingerbread men. Not an overpowering taste and great with coffee or tea.

Thanks Bernie! - actually sat outside for a little while today. Not real warm but very nice. Suppose to start raining any time now and continue thru the night. Also get a bit chilly.

Ate my bagels inside this morning for breakfast - they were - as usual - super good.

Rained all day long! Needless to say there was no sitting outside today eating anything. Didn't even eat much inside. Kind of miserable day in many ways. Did get to do a video chat with my two little great greats who are in Denver. I miss them so much but they are OK. Leah, however, is sick and not feeling good at all. Bless her - she was very low key. Just wanted to hug them both so very much.

Made an appointment with the gal who does my hair and we will see Friday what she can do with what I have left. My hair is in horrible shape and so much has disappeared. Not a happy camper at all.I haven't gone to her but a few times this year due to medical issues. I do not want to buy a wig - cannot figure where the hair went. LOL.

I think I must get some bagels as I ate the last one this morning. Sigh. They are sooooooo good!!

Hope all had a great day and have an even better one tomorrow.

@Winifred Freddie I'm sure your hairdresser will give it her best try. You've been through serious treatment and I imagine your appetite hasn't been the best either (because of it) so that's probably what thinned your hair out a little bit.

There hasn't been too much going on at my area of the Back Fence. I made a trip to Hallmark on Thursday to pick up some inexpensive Christmas cards for the great nieces $$$. I like regular cards and not money cards - money cards tend to be aimed at older kids or adults.

I say this without judgement: kids today aren't as sentimental and don't save cards from relatives. It finally hit me this year that's is stupid on my part to spend $5 per card, per kid only to have it hit the trash same day or next. I'll still spring for nice birthday cards for them. For Christmas I found some cute Hallmark 99 cents cards.

It's been overcast and every day I'm sure it's going to rain or snow and we get nothing. The next time I see the sun I'll probably be doing a happy dance.

Epi,, am so glad to read your health fine at this point. Will keep your hubby in my prayers.

Very wet and very chilly here today - toss in some Fog and it makes for a miserable day. Brrr.

I think however, I have the Christmas gifts readt for Leah and Ricky for wrapping and shipping to Denver. Such a chore for this old set of hands of mine these days. A super sad time for me today,.I was able, however to spend a bit of time with their younger brother Anthony, He is rolling., He is such an angel.

Like many others, no outdoor time today - no thank you.

It's been cool here, it not too bad weather wise. The men come Monday morning to start painting my kitchen cabinets. I tried to get hubby to postpone,but he said no way. Just have too much on my mind.
