Not a good attitude towards police officers..I won’t buy my coffe there anymore.Who will want the poilice officer careers when they are so vilified.

I boycott that company for other reasons. This just confirms it.

They have TOO many incidences of improper behavior by employees. They always apologize but it is repeated behavior in many of their stores.

Besides, their coffee ate a hole in my stomach the one time I had it! Strong!

They are too overpriced, and it was a "status" thing to get your fancy coffee drink there.

Plenty of other coffee shops are around.

There are many other really good coffe shops in my area.One I like is owned by two young women who went to high school together.They are up at four am making muffins and cookies each day.They work so hard to make the best coffee that it can be a very slow process.I hope people are understanding and willing to wait.They use real mugs and cups with and make a beautif work of art with designs on the drinks.

That was not right. HOWEVER, I wish the same people who are outraged by this behavior would hold others to the same standard. There isn't a day that goes by that we don't see a lack of civility and decency in our own government. The name calling and bullying is sickening and these are our elected officials. Just another reason why I like my cat a whole lot more than humans.

Probably a really bad decision by a single employee. I DO go to Starbucks and couldn't ask for more decent, polite employees. Most are young and just plain sweet. I wouldn't judge the whole company by one employee's bad behavior, but of course, it needs to be addressed.

On a funnier note, you may remember when an employee wrote CARC on a cup since the customer told him he was Marc with a C. THAT customer was my nephew Marc and we still laugh about it. We now call him CARC unless he tells us he is Marc with an M. LOLOLOL.

I've never been one to follow trends and have never had an interest in Starbucks.

I received a gift card for them one year and gave it away.

Give me my good ol' Maxwell House coffee at home and I'm a happy camper!

And it wasn't the first incident OR the only incident. Who knows how many such actions have gone unreported?

Starbucks has had a history of their employees feeling they can act this disrespectful way and get away with it. They clearly don't fear Corporate or Mgt. reprimands. If you foster such a free work environment, then such things may happen.

I hold Starbucks responsible for their employees actions. I hold the NFL responsible for their employees actions. I hold myself responsible for my actions.

There are knuckleheads in every business...Starbucks has apologized every time it's happened & stated that Starbucks supports the police.

It only took one incident of another type for Starbucks to shut their stores down for retraining...think they need to do it again so the employees can learn that all customers deserve respectful service?

There have been a couple of incidents recently, in one case the employee wrote 'pig' as the customer's description on an officer's cup and another incident where 4 employees at a Starbucks refused to serve a couple of officers.

To the latter Starbuck's credit, those 4 employees were fired.

I did see these incidents regarding the Starbuck employee’s bad behavior on the news. But I must say that (in my experience) Starbucks has wonderful customer service. When I’ve e-mailed corporate online they reply within a short amount of time with a resolution.

@proudlyfromNJThanks - I hadn't researched the incident so I don't even know where it happened, but I know I wouldn't have wanted to be judged by all the employees in the department where I worked let alone by the entire staff. Starbucks is a huge company - I really feel it's lazy thinking to label thousands of good people because of the attitude of one.

Well it was more than one shop.I think it would be nice if corporate makes an effort to stop this demeaning behavior to law enforcement.They allow access to their restaurants bathrooms to homeless as a curtesy even if they don’t purchase.Now they could show some courtesy for law enforcement who are customers and serve them coffee which is how that business makes payroll.
