REALLY TIRED OF SUMMER

From the title, you can guess this is my least favorite season...heat, humidity, sunburn and nothing to wear except “nothing” to keep cool.

I’m waiting impatiently for the fall leaves. Anyone else?

First half of summer is not bad. Pleasant, not even the frequent storms bother me. By August it gets to be bad. The humidity makes any heat worse. 2nd half of summer, everything no longer grows. It just bakes. So in August, I'm already seeing dead (from the heat) leaves falling. I'm starting to see brown already around the trees.

I think most folk like Autumn. It's short (or so it seems) But that season is very pleasant. Nice too look forward to.

I’m with you on hating the heat and humidity, but we have had a run of nice weather. High 70’s in the daytime and cooling down nicely at night. I hope it lasts awhile longer .🤞🤞

Nope. There's something that I love about all of the seasons. While I'm not crazy about the heat and humidity that summer brings, I love the long hours of daylight and the opportunity to be outdoors. Soon enough it will be snowing and blowing, and people will be complaining about that. I refuse to wish away even a minute of my life because the weather may not be to my liking.

I just hate summer! I always have. How did we do it back when with no a/c? My family had window fans which did help a lot at night. I try to stay inside as much as possible because of the heat and humidity. Just get me to a month with an “R” in it and I’ll be ok!

I'm not tired of it at all. I'm in the metro-DC area and today and the past couple of days have been especially gorgeous. I hate for summer to end.

I agree with you. I am tired of the extreme heat and humidity as well as the thunderstorms and torrential rains that have caused a lot of flooding this summer. My favorite season is the fall ... bring it on.

No, I am not tired of summer. I wish we could stretch it out to last longer. I love the warm and even hot weather, the summer sports like swimming and boating, the beautiful flowers and fresh grown vegetables and summer fruits. The extra hours of daylight is the icing on the cake.

Fall is beautiful too, but in the back of my mind, I know winter is next. I hate winter with a passion. Thankfully fall doesn't begin until the end of September and I am hopeful that the warm weather sticks around until then.

@Shanus Try to stay cool. Pretty soon we will all be complaining about the ice and snow.

43 more days until 9/23....the first day of Fall!!! i have never liked summer weather....

We've been having super weather here in Chicago after a miserable spring so I'm not complaining. The winter here is so long that I enjoy the longer days and sunshine. Cold weather will be here soon enough.

I'm with you!

I live in the deep south and it's been 100 degrees (on the thermometer, not heat index) with very high humidity, for months now.

I'm tired of being stuck inside in the A/C, but my high BP doesn't allow me to spend much time outdoors in this heat/humidity.

Usually I'd be waiting for fall starting in May but this year has been such a pleasant summer with our lower than usual temperatures that I'm not in a hurry for it to leave. I just hope Sept. and Oct. don't turn out to be hotter than heck, and they very well could be....

I live for summer. I hate fall and winter. But, as I'm much older than I used to be 😃 and I have less future than past left, I agree with you about not wishing away a minute.

I live in the northeast where our Summers are to short & our winters are way to long. I love Summer.I enjoy every single minute of it.I’ll take the heat & sunshine over freezing my a** off any day!!

Not at all. I built the house in the woods so I have shade from the trees as the sun moves. Love to sit on the deck with a tomato sandwich and read when I'm off. Shadow takes a sunbath at my feet.

This has been a year of reflection for me ... not sure what it means, except the seasons bring renewal ... and reminders ... of things past.

I don't hate summer. I hate the weather that is typical of summer in some areas. Actually, I guess I could say that about winter also. But with winter I also hate the darkness.

If I could have 70 degree days and low humidity it could be summer all year long for me.

Summer in the Mojave Desert isn't a whole lot of fun. Anyone with a lick of sense stays inside in the a/c all day. It gets old. Winter is the best, because there is still plenty of sun minus the blazing heat. Day after day of 105, 110 degrees or more is boring. It gets so hot in summer everything stops growing or keels over dead in the garden.
