High or Low Maintenance?

Which one are you? I am very low maintenance these days! I like to keep things simple in every aspect when possible.

I hardly ever wear nail polish anymore. Makeup is minimal, usually no mascara anymore. Do wear some eye liner at times.

Clothes are simple and wear the same things year round. I dont have a different wardrobe for each season. Minimal jewlery. I was never really into much jewelry.

I like to make simple meals too. I dont buy things I dont need and my home is simple and not filled with things.

Back in the day lol I was probably considered high maintenance.

High on a lot of things; low on some. I'm usually one extreme or the other.

Back in the day I would call myself high maintenance. I was very into designer this and designer that. Now, I saw through the silliness of Madison Ave advertising and am very low maintenance. It brings a lot of peace to my life and I learned an invaluable lesson......"things" don't bring happiness.

Hubby thinks Im high maintenance but I think I am medium because I do wear makeup when we go out or to church. I have a pedi because I cant see my toes well enough to cut them on my own and I wear nails because my own fingernails split, peal and break easy since I have gotten older.

High maintenance and proud of it. Of course, I am assuming that high maintenance just means that I like to look my best and I like to dress well and smell good and I put some effort into it. I've never been one of those women who only cares about being "neat, clean and presentable". I suppose that's low maintence but I'm also not one of those women spends hours getting dressed and made up and obssesses over it. I suppose I am actually medium maintenance. I work hard and I've arrived at time in my life when I can decorate our home the way I want; no kids, no dogs, no cats, no guinea pigs. I can have the colors and decorator pieces I couldn't have before we became empty nesters. There's no right or wrong to this stuff.

youre right, there is no right or wrong in this. just a fun question. i do like to look nice when i got out. home looks nice but not cluttered. thank you all for your answers

Just because I'm aging surely doesn't mean I should give up!! I love to dress up, wear makeup, have a chic hairdo, etc. I won't leave the house unless I'm wearing makeup.

Being a Pisces, I am a high/ low kinda girl in everything.

Summer: it's low maintenance all the way,although I keep my tips and toes done.

My sentiments exactly. I'm a girly girl and I've always been one. I was wearing makeup in college when not a lot of college girls were into it. Now that I'm in my late 50's, I do have to put more effort into it. I never leave the house without makeup and earrings, actually I wear makeup even when I'm not leaving the house. Hubby says he knows when I'm sick or having bad back pain because I won't have any makeup on.

As I aged I went from medium maintenance to now super low maintenance. I have never had a professional pedicure and only remember having a manicure once (my wedding). I can ramp things up when necessary but primarily live a casual, natural life.

I am high maintenance when it comes to clothes. I love them and never leave the house without putting thought into choosing what to wear. I also never leave the house without my jewelry - rings, necklace, bracelets.

Very low maintenace with makeup - nothing but lip color. Allergies and sensitive skin. Hair - high and low. Sometimes I curl it, some time just let it hang straight as long as it has body.I do like my nails done (to show off rings and toes to wear open toe sandals, shoes.)

House - high maintenance in decor. Low maintenance in cleaning, etc. I have no interest - pay someone else to do it. As long as it's clean, I'm happy.

Due to environmental allergies and allergies to cosmetics, I've always been low maintenance. My mother was the same way - more out of necessity - and bought clothes that fit rather than were stylish - lived in a rural area. My sister made the comment one time about how we never learned (from mom) how to be fashionable.

My one high maintenance issue is a really really really good haircut so I don't have to fuss with it much.

I'm totally super high maintenance. I'd bet I have you all beat. I always want to look my best. I enjoy being a girly girl. I've always thought it must be terribly dull to be a man and not have all the fun with shoes, jewelry, makeup, etc. They don't get to have much fun at all. I started wearing makeup as soon as my mother would permit me and was reading Vogue and those magazines in middle school. I think women are born wired one way or the other. I have friends who could care less about this stuff and do almost nothing. Between my beauty routine, oversized wardrobe, giant shoe collection, obscene amounts of jewelry and all my crazy supplements and powders I take, I am a lot fo maintain!

Now...low maintenance. Back in my single days...high maintenance. When I was single I got my hair done every 4-6 weeks, did the manicures and pedicures, and purchased a lot of very nice clothing and shoes. I wouldn't think of going out of the house without makeup. Now married with a daughter...no manicures, pedicures are for special occassions like a vacation. I'm way overdue for a haircut and color (last time I went was first week of May...but that is also because of scheduling problems), no makeup 90% of the time, and don't get me started on clothes.

I am definitely much lower maintenance than I used to be, and I don't think that I would ever have been labeled high maintenance.

I feel I’m pretty low maintenance.

I do get my hair colored monthly. I get pedicures monthly to keep my feet maintained, but rarely get polish on my toes. I haven’t worn makeup since I retired 6+ years ago.

I do NOT shop; last time I shopped at the mall my youngest was a high school senior (she graduated 20 years ago).

I don't like spending my money, and don’t like cluttering my life with stuff.
