@Nightowlz I heard about payless- I haven't bought much from them in years. Seems like I wasn't the only one!

Where are we going to shop? I do not like shopping on line, especially for clothes.

Recently I was in Macy's about an hour from me...the store was a hot mess...I emailed the store and asked if they were closing, they responded with an apology for the mess but they are remodeling. So glad they are not closing, it is my go to store...I told them they needed some sings to let people know what was going on.

I know I am probably the minority, but I used to buy my shoes at Payless.

I am not a shoe girl...never have been.

Now HANDBAGS and CARDIS I will spend the bucks for.

I will miss you PAYLESS !

For any Payless fans, the stores currently have clearance, 30-40% off everything.

I read that VS (L Brands) is closing 53 of their stores - about 4% of their total number of stores.

You have an out of date list. Last week it was announced JC Penny will be closing many more stores along with Victorias Secret. There was one more store I heard last week too and I can't remember.

I saw today where Wilson's Leather is closing at our outlet mall. I got SO many nice things there! Earlier this year, they had ladies coats with "Coach " in them.

I looked it up online and they are closing.

Dollar Tree is now closing stores. Who'd have thought! In my local Dollar Tree is always busy.

I hope my dollar in the mall doesn't close. It seems to do a good business. I walk by on my walk every day and usually get something.

How many retailers saturate an area because cities give them “no tax” deals and then when the end date is reached they move on to next community. It’s a game where communities are losers. Then when they have too many locations they shut down.

Cord fell off so I don't now if it recorded. Talking about Sears--My Dad retired from there in Minnesota. We were far from rich but I spent my life until 20. but don't remember if I bought clothes.

@PilatesLover, Dollar Tree owns Dollar General. I believe the stores being closed are Dollar General not Dollar Tree.

My governor wants to cut $1.6B from our state budget. Figure there will be a lot of closings here.

It's not out of date. It's 2019. It did say in the article Penney's was closing 2 with more to follow.
