A true wordsmith. I saw him in concert back in the early 80s. He writes great songs. Another one with great lyrics is Jason Isbell.

I'm switching over here not to step on any toes on the handbag thread. But speaking of thinking something is new I have a funny story.

When the Eagles did their Hell Freezes Over tour apparently my father got wind of it. He was in town and we were driving somewhere, he and I and my daughter, when he mentioned a great new band that he'd heard that he thought I would like too! Then of course he said that it was the Eagles! Yes we got a good laugh at his expense! LOL
