Daily Positive Thread for Friday

Hello my friends! How was your day? Hope it was a wonderful Thursday for you! Today I had my cleaning of the teeth, all is fine! I spent time in getting our onions all clean from the pail they were in, froze some in plastic bags, 1 cup each, and some are out on top of the fridge for use. Time consuming, but I didn't want any to rot. Also made a big batch of chicken vegetable soup, again all from the garden! Thinking of having a friend over for soup tomorrow noon. All blessings from God!!! Can you share some blessings with us too? That's what this thread is all about. So much we just take for granted all that He gave us, without acknowedging they are all gifts, and we should thank Him for them. Thanks be to God for all He does for us!

Nothing is ever quite as bad as it seems. Call on God and then practice expectancy

and optimism and things will turn out better than you expect. Lord, thank You for

tomorrow.

M E D I T A T I O N   F O R   T H E   D A Y

We can be at home and comfortable in the world. Yet some of us live
lives of quiet desperation. This is the opposite of being at home and
at peace in the world. We can let our peace of mind be evident to those
around us. We can let others see that we are comfortable, and seeing
it, know that it springs from our trust in God. The dull, hard way of
resignation is not God's way. Faith can take the sting out of the winds
of adversity and can bring peace even in the midst of struggle.

I pray that I may be more comfortable in my way of living. I pray that
I may feel more at home and at peace within myself.

The mess to clean after a party because it means I have been
surrounded by friends.

The taxes I pay because it means that I'm employed.

The clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough
to eat.

My shadow who watches me work because it means I am out in the
sunshine.

A lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that
need fixing because it means I have a home.

All the complaining I hear about our government because it means we
have freedom of speech.

The space I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I
am capable of walking.

My huge heating bill because it means I am warm.

The piles of laundry and ironing because it means I have clothes to

Weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means I

Getting too much email bogs me down but at least I know I have
friends who are thinking of me.

Even though I clutch my blanket and growl when The alarm rings, thank
you, Lord, that I can hear. There are many who are deaf.

Even though I keep my eyes closed against the morning light as long
as possible, thank you, Lord, that I can see. Many are blind.

Even though I huddle in my bed and put off rising, thank you Lord,
that I have the strength to rise. There are many who are bedridden.

Even though the first hour of my day is hectic, when socks are lost,
toast is burned and tempers are short, thank you, Lord, for My family.
There are many who are lonely.

Even though our breakfast table never looks like the pictures in
magazines and the menu is at times unbalanced, thank you, Lord, for
the food we have. There are many who are hungry;

Even though the routine of my job often is hard, thank you, Lord, for
the opportunity to work. There are many who have no job.

Even though I grumble and bemoan my fate from day to day and wish my
circumstances were not so modest, thank you, Lord, for life.

Pass this on to the friends you know.
A friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure for our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives with Beauty, Joy, and Grace
and makes the world we live in A Better and Happier Place.

I love you with an everlasting Love. The human mind cannot comprehend My constancy. Your emotions flicker and falter in the face of varying circumstances, and you tend to project your fickle feelings onto Me. Thus, you do not benefit fully from My unfailing Love.

You need to look beyond the flux of circumstances and discover Me gazing lovingly back at you. This awareness of My Presence strengthens you, as you receive and respond to My Love. Hi Gloria, that soup sounds delicious. Would love to share a bowl with you and Sammy, of course. How's it going with the puppy pad training? Today is hubbys follow-up with dr. for the kidney stones. He's doing very good, so we're sure he'll get a good report. Prayers for you and your dear friend, Linda. She is lucky to have you in her life. Marmot

Thanks, Marmot! Would sure love to share a bowl of soup with you! Sammy is still going outside - we don't have pads here yet, and we don't know if he'd even use them. We'll see. Glad to read about your husband's doing very good! Answers to prayer!
